Your images from Florence bring back great memories... I got engaged at Piazzale Michelangelo with a ring we bought at a Ponte Vecchio gold shop and while we waited for the ring to be sized, we climbed the Campanile at the Duomo and got some nice afternoon images. That evening, we had dinner on the hill, watched the sun set, and then got engaged over dessert.
I took an a900 on that trip and really enjoyed making images with that camera. They don't belong in this thread, but I have some images I really love from our days there. I'm looking forward to going back some time soon.
Had a heck of a time trying to get the TAP to focus, crisply, on the clouds reflected in the window, with the 100mm Makro Planar.
Parked the TAP where it sat in AF mode, and tried manual focus, but it still couldn't seem to get a sharp shot. Also realized, later on, that I left the camera aperture set on f4.0 (instead of f2.0).
Still a mostly ok shot, but not what quite I wanted.
I don't find the time to post here currently, but...
..... this thread is really insane!! It's always inspiring to watch all of your work and it's really impossible to point out a single photographer here. Great job all of you. Looking forward to contribute soon.
