A portion of the Milky Way during the Perseid Meteor Shower in Big Meadows. At least one meteor can be seen in the image near the upper left third and I suspect the bright streak line about 1/3 up from the bottom of the image is a satellite.

Really, really interested in this lens so thanks for sharing. Would be nice to read your impression about this 12mm. Thanks in advance.
Manuel
First time I've picked up something wider than 20mm (FF) so can't really compare it to anything. Aside from that thoughts are: very solidly built, very little distortion as advertised, seems reasonably sharp, close focus is very impressive, vignetting wide open is minor/not noticeable (if you see some in my photos it's because my default LR settings adds a bit), there can be a bit of flare with the sun in the frame and faint red curved lines. The only thing I'm not sure about is how it'll work for astro, being in Belgium in autumn clear nights don't really happen.

John, I think this observation is also influenced by the weather and may not be field curvature. The shoreline, as you move from the left of the frame toward the center is further and further away from my vantage point so I would expect the misty-ness of the day to align with a less sharp shoreline in the center. Now, that doesn't mean the lens doesn't exhibit field curvature (I haven't tested mine) or that it's a combination of both but I'm sure the weather is at least part of it. - Bob
I can see what you mean, Bob - and I hope that it didn't sound like I was detracting from an otherwise cool image... John
