Another one from my recent Bryce Canyon trip. I'm working through my images as I can. This one was the morning after a clearing storm front went through. A7r2 with the FE 24-70 G Master lens.
For those who celebrate Thanksgiving have a healthy and and happy one with your family's!
First shots from Prague near Charles bridge with my new Summarit-M 75/2.4 on A7r II, both wide open, second is a brenizer-pano from 28 pictures. This lens and his predecessor summarit-M 75/2.5 (with longer MFD) are a bit overlooked lenses in the shade of summilux and APO-summicron but from what I see from 75/2.5 and from my 75/2.4 both are amazing lenses. Feelings from first outing.. great colours, microcontrast, sharpness wide open..sharpest 35mm lens I have.

A dark dreary day to day but a good one to take out the Zeiss Distagon 35/1.4 ZM + TAP. All at f/1.4-2.0
Bob, that first one is a great demo of the field curvature with this lens when wide open - to me detail on the far side of the lake is so much sharper in the margins than in the centre. I'm finding that quite manageable for landscape, much more so than with my Loxia. I'm loving using it. John

Yes, but the distance between the photographer and the centre is far greater. And the local weather conditions may also be different. Would you expect these two factors to influence your opinion?

Thanks Karl, we have been lucky with weather condition... was the first day and has been a very good start in Yosemite!

Thank you but, Manuel, that's one heck of a gorgeous image ! Now, you made me regret I didn't go to Yosemite with you, Bobby and Luz .
Thanks Joshua, indeed it would have been nice to be all together... the weather cooperated well in those days, even the rainy Sunday allowed us to take interesting pictures

John, I think this observation is also influenced by the weather and may not be field curvature. The shoreline, as you move from the left of the frame toward the center is further and further away from my vantage point so I would expect the misty-ness of the day to align with a less sharp shoreline in the center. Now, that doesn't mean the lens doesn't exhibit field curvature (I haven't tested mine) or that it's a combination of both but I'm sure the weather is at least part of it. - Bob
