Jack, Edward sold his A7, he has new lover M240 I heard biogon is no good with A7/r sensor even stop down. I could be wrong without first hand experience.
A7 with 80-200 Leica from past weekend
Handhold and MF long lens has been my major problem with A7 I lose a few important moment, but no time for tripod setup for family out.

Distagon appears to have narrower DoF, which produces more pleasing effects in f/2-4 range. On the other hand Biogon is sooo tiny that it's hard not to keep it.

your landscape pictures with the zm do seem to seem to show quite a bit of blurring/field curvature in the corners even at websize that wouldn't be there when the lens is used on an m-camera. but then again, the R 35 cron also has pretty severe field curvature and does wonderful things...
I've been trying to use Minolta & Sony Alpha lenses with the LA-EA3 and LE-EA4 adapters as much as possible. Some work getting the AF dialed in, but getting pretty good results.
Here is the Minolta 200mm f2.8 APO HS on the LAEA3 on the A7R.
I don't say this often (can always be better you know..) but i'm quite happy with this photo of my son Ted in natural light from a few windows.
The shot was way overexposed since i forgot to dial back for the shot, however it turned out ok after som pp:ing
