A7 +Contax 35-70...I also took shots of these same reeds with my Contax 28 2.8, and I think this lens is sharper!!

I still need to test this Biogon 2/35 in dim light conditions, close distance, in f/2-2.8 range, but I totally agree that stopped down past f/5.6 it's an exceptional lens. Comparing it against Distagon 2/35 ZF without ARC profiles applied the Biogon shows less geometric distortions than Distagon even if a lens profile was applied to Distagon.
Distagon appears to have narrower DoF, which produces more pleasing effects in f/2-4 range. On the other hand Biogon is sooo tiny that it's hard not to keep it.
Hopefully one day Edward Karaa may post more shots with Biogon 2/35 + A7 combo.
Anyhow, it's Sony A7/R thread after all so here are few pictures.
