^ nice one, Tim. I am thinking of going to Ricketts Glen SP for the first time this fall. It's a good 3.5 hour drive from where I live, maybe I should wait for another 10 days or so for better colors.
It's been very dry....so after 3 or 4 days of some intermittent rain, I figured I'd see how things were progressing up there. I like to go between President's Day and 2 weeks after.
I hope we keep getting moisture. It's a magical place, one of my favorite places.

Finally the bidding is over and the cabin is ours! Yay, but what a roller coaster of a week.
Nice weather on Sunday, so we went on a little day trip. The first two photos are from an abandoned mine. The rest are from the old Copper mine town Røros, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage list. First mining activities started in 1645.
We went through similarly fraught, and ultimately successful, auction process on a property last year. So, I know the relief and sense of triumph you must be feeling.
Looking forward to many photos from your new property and the surrounding areas!
Absolutely love everyones images. I get so inspired looking through this thread. Figured I'd finally add to it. This is from my 6k hike up to the top of the Eagles Nest out here in Eastern Germany. Shot a panorama on my A7ii with the 16-35 and stitched it together in LR. I wish the photo could really translate the beauty that I experienced while there. I'm in decent shape but the hike was not easy and about half way up I wasn't even sure if I was gonna make it. The images and views I saw were completely worth it though and I would never trade the experience. Thanks for letting me be part of such an amazing group of creatives! -Neeko
Great shots all ! Here are few pics taken with my son,..we wait till last sunrays of the day and the rest is made by 85/1.2 L II + MB IV T fw 0.52 and bit of PP Love how the 85/1.2L II renders when shooting towards the sun with nice flare - with lens hood it´s better/nicer.. same behaviour with 135L. Without the hood the flare is not so pronounced.
The first installment of my documentation and interpretation of Aberdeen's "Artists' Avenue".
This is two blocks of otherwise rundown alley that is devoted to art, mostly graphic art, and much by the same couple artists. Sort of a NY tenement vibe going on, quirky, but also funny and rude.
