Some testing shoots with my new lens, the Leica Macro-Elmar-M 90mm f/4. I really like the compactness and weight of this lens. But I think I need to tweak my Lightroom adjustments for this lens. Maybe bit to over sharpened?
Beautiful rendering and colours from the M42 Carl Zeiss Jena 135/3.5. I used to have that lens on a Pentax. Wish I had it back now after seeing your lovely work !

The Samyang 24mm f/1.4 for Sony FE just arrived in the mailbox.
This is the city of Evian, photographed from the Swiss side. I am still undecided if this lens is a keeper or not. It is my first time with a 3rd Party lens (except the Sony/Zeiss thing), and built quality and feel is definitely different... I wish I had the Batis 25mm to do side by side comparisons!

The Kingfisher is beautiful but the Eyelash Viper is just wonderful. We we were in CR we hike long and hard (hot and humid too) to an area where one was reported as having been in. He was there and for the longest time I couldn't find him. I never realized they were small and dainty but once my eyes found the yellow I was there. Thanks for bringing back a great memory.
Thank you very much, Robert! Yes, the viper is small, smaller than what the image conveys. Juan Carlos, our guide, knows how to find quite a bit of exotic animals there. After the first exposure to CR's wildlife, I would like to see more.... I am thinking out loud of going back to CR next year. Take care!
Your post-processing above is simply superb (as is the picture!). Perfect for this landscape: minimalist and modern.
Thanks really appreciated
Yes Robert.. had gladly combined a trip to Iceland again and a week in Svalbard as you did
Lofoten is my next trip late feb 2017 .. and Joshua you make me look at CR too perhaps in 2018
There is a trip to CR in 2017 but it is almost the same date as the Lofoten trip

Nice shot. I had mixed feelings when I first got my copy. Now it's one of my favorite lenses. Crazy sharp and works for a variety of situations. And stellar for night time photography.
