Joshua you make the 85 shine. Love the softness of the dress and how sharp the eyes are of the models. Your Vegas shots make it seem like the place to go.

Thank you very much, Gregg! I love the shallow DOF of your first image!

Fantastic as always! Your work with models never ceases to amaze.
What or where is "French Estate"?
Thank you very much, Nadim! I am trying, I am trying.... . French Estate is a place in the City of Orange, fairly close to our location actually. Both the venue and models were great.
One more "French-style" image from the same session but this one was captured indoors.

RE: The Techart adapter - you can use F45 to park the adapter at its "present position".
So, AF such that the adapter is at approximately the middle of the range, then switch to MF on the camera body, and snap away.
THANK YOU. I don't know how i missed that. it solves the problem completely, though for normal (ie not close up) use, its probably better to autofocus on infinity and then switch to manual. That just extends it by a tiny amount from the closed position. Havent tried it yet, but this could be useful for getting the adapter so as to make the focus scale on the lens correct.
PS I know how I missed it. The printed manual that came with the adapter, that I was using as my list of settings says nothing about f45! I have told Techart about this omission.

Well, Gregg, that's the big question now. It might have ended up in your hands but I see you took care of that already!
More with the CV35/1.7 all wide open with the the Techart Adapter in AF mode.
Three more Batis 85 football shots that I think showcases the bokeh of the lens. Good at short to medium distances, but at longer focus distances it gets rather busy, at least in harsh light like this:
Colour/ contrast and sharpness is excellent from wide open, and AF capabilities on the A7RII is surprisingly good.

I'm trying to keep up with the Jones'(you!, Guy, Fred)...I haven't shot with the CV too much yet, but so far I like it.
You're going to love the ZM! It's like your new R28, but in 35mm, IMO. Thankfully, my Scotch drinking buddy has one, and we swap lenses quite often. And all this talk about the ZM has me going back in my catalog and trying to find some "lost" grabs!
