THANK YOU. I don\'t know how i missed that. it solves the problem completely, though for normal (ie not close up) use, its probably better to autofocus on infinity and then switch to manual. That just extends it by a tiny amount from the closed position. Havent tried it yet, but this could be useful for getting the adapter so as to make the focus scale on the lens correct.
