Foliage is blooming everywhere so it's time for some Infrared. A rather gloomy day here in Minneapolis so I have some gloomy images. All with an IR converted A6000 and Voigtlander 15/4.5 III + VM-E adapter
A ton of people surfing Lake Superior yesterday! As you can see based on my focus, tracking them with MF at 200mm was tricky, even with the slow f/5 tele I use, especially with the poor light. Still, a lot of fun to watch!
Not quite as dramatic as when these folks are out there surfing while there's still ice floating on the lake. Even so, the lake is extremely cold, barely above freezing at this point.

I'd much rather be where you are rather than where they are!!!
Ha, no joke! Truth is, I'm a lot more comfortable in the depths of winter than I was yesterday - 35 deg F, raining, and very windy. My family didn't last long and I wasn't far behind them. :P
Great surfing shots arduluth. You seem to have managed to capture the extreme cold despite the fact that he is surfing in water that looks a lot like strong tea!
