I have a crazy, silly amount of testing to do on my "new" a7R. So many variables, and a number of problems to solve.
I had noticed yesterday a definite weakness on the left side of all frames with different lenses. It seems I traced the problem to the Fotodiox Tough Mount LT -- seems to have been slightly warped. Also, found this mount itself was the culprit for the Commlite AF mount not mounting to the body. Switched back (for the time being) to the factory mount, and all seems well.
I did find the Commlite/EOS AF adapter, like the Fotodoix, to be practically useless for AF. Some lenses can AF, given enough hunt-and-peck, but nothing a run-and-gun guy like me can use. But, for manual focus and controlling the EOS lenses, it's great!
Here are some first shots with the OEM mount and Commlite using MF. Shot with 50/1.2L, and reminding me, yet again, why I love this lens! (Wide open, but adapter only registers to f/1.3, for some reason.)
Lovely shot Joshua !
Very nice set Helena and Gregg.. Congrats to GM Gregg ( What happend to the Rx1 ? )
Rene : Awesome work
Jim and Bob great shot
Z : Great to see your City-shot
Jannik : Great use of Loxia 21
Love your shots Charles .. Great work
Werner ; Great as always.. just love yours and Rene various motives all the time
Ronny...I didn't buy the GM85...my buddy did and he let me use it. Eventually I'll borrow it too!!
Jim...as bob said, good to see you one his thread as well!!
And as far as the Rx1...I just couldn't handle using two cameras! Go figure😳...so I picked up the Leica Summicron R35/2
Bob...I thinking picked it up on Amazon. The quality is much better then the Cheaper versions. I had been having reflection problems with my original A7, and someone had mentioned the Rayqual. Now I don't have any problems!
Maybe try eBay as well...

A7rll and Summicron R 35
Two images. One at f/8 and another at f/18 for the foreground rocks (DOF). I had to go to f/18 because the lens was set to about 40mm. (FE 24-70/2.8GM)
The sun light was very diffused this afternoon making the lighting on the Tufas very special.
BTW: You may see EV+2.0 on the EXIF info. That is correct. I pretty much overexposed 2 stops in order to get very clean shadows in post. (ETTR with zebras)
