Photo taken at 8:10 AM on June 10, 2015 of the plant and flowers Fly Poison ("Amianthium muscitoxicum"), Big Meadows, Shenandoah National Park, Virginia. Image taken with my tripod mounted Leica R 280mm f4 Apo Telyt lens with my Leica R 1.4X Apo Extender and my A7r; ISO 400, lens set to effective aperture of f8 at 1/320 second. Proceed in LR6.
Congrats on your new GM lens, Charles and you definitely put that to good use on Marisa .
Here are two more images from Vegas using the Sigma 20mm f/1.4 Art lens. This would be the smallest aperture I would use for astrophotography next week.

eye AF is so revolutionary and the A7x series (and a6300 too I might add) has such prowess with it. Funny how fast Sony brought us this innovation.
Now if they would only get up to speed for birds

Late this evening a shot of Marisa chilling out on a Friday evening
With the GM 85 it is preferable to turn the sharpening to "0" in Lr for portraits, lower the contrast by about -10 to -15 and reduce color sat by -5 to -10. Shot with eye AF in low light.

Sigmatel f/1.8? Is there any lens you do not own ?

Joshua - you going somewhere interesting for astro?
Well, not only for astro, of course but yes, I will give it a shot in the desert of Arizona; to be exact at Horse Shoe Bend, Hunt's Mesa and Monument Valley. At the last location, I will try to include some tipis, or at least a single tipi where we will stay overnight. I am not sure how that will turn out though. We will see soon enough, I guess .
12 image panorama of the Mississippi river from the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis. The detail is insane. I can pick out people on the bridge when zoomed in 1:1.
