Thanks Bob, took my kids down yesterday and the wind picked up later in the afternoon. I shot a great little video of them trying to catch petals as they were blowing, like snowflakes.

Bob - you were in my back yard and didn't say hi!?! Would have been great to meet up with you.
Gary - You're right . . . how rude of me! I was there as part of a small photography workshop (for me it was mostly having a guide to the area). The area was incredibly beautiful. So much so, I WILL be back and I'll be sure to look you up!
Gregg - did you trade your Minolta for the Contax zoom? That contax has always been high on my list but the Minolta macro shoots so well, I've never looked at replacing it.
Keep them coming, ladies and gents. Haven't seen Helena posting for a while, miss her snow shots.
Tim, that's a nice view of the Washington Monument looming over the cherry blossoms. I never thought about using a telephone lens for it so the monument always looks tiny in my recent cherry blossom pictures (shot mostly with a 24-70).
Photo taken, October 21, 2015 about 8 minutes before sunrise along Skyline Drive, Big Meadows, Shenandoah NP, Virginia. Image taken with my tripod mounted A7r and my Leica M 90mm f2.5 Summarit lens, ISO 200, lens set to f11 for 1/8 second. Exposure corrected by +0.12 Stops and processed in LR6.

Ha!! I still have it. But it is incapacitated at the moment. You know I converted it to f2.8, right. Well at one point I decided to return it to f3.5, and when I put it back, well, something was amiss
I just haven't gotten around to it yet. I loved your pics from Florida with yours, btw!!It's such a little fantastic lens.
As far as the Contax 35-70/3.4...this is my 4 time owning one, and the last time!! Picked this one up from a fellow Fm'r and I couldn't pass it up. By far the best copy I've had yet and while bigger, I still prefer it to most lenses. This copy is as sharp as I've ever seen, throughout the range. At 50mm it is as good as my Loxia from f4 on, and @35mm I'm stunned, really.
Going to have to get the MD 35-70 a go again though!
