I'll be honest...this lens really rocks! Pretty hard to beat, and the results are consistent. You know what the shot will look like...
Photo taken at 7:54 PM on August 12, 2015 of a Fawn White Tail Deer with an itch, Big Meadows, Shenandoah National Park, Virginia. Image cropped and taken with my tripod mounted Canon new FD 500mm f4.5 L lens and my A7r, ISO 400, lens set to f4.5 for 1/160 second. Exposure corrected by +0.24 Stops. Processed in LR6.
Another image from the Venetian Mask Carnival - I placed a flash behind this mask on a light stand and remotely triggered the flash to create rim light as the only artificial light source. Yes, like a fool I carried the light stand around that morning . The furry head gear that the mask wore created enough light to drape over her shoulder and to partly lit the face. Enough so to make this image look interesting.
Its incredible to see how many great images that are being posted in this thread. How do you guys manage to produce so many great shots at such a high frequency?
Took my Voigtlander 75/1.8 out for a spin today when having lunch with my wife. Simple background, and simple composition. The lens is one of my least used lenses, but when I use it I am always happy with it. It balances well on the A7, and while not being overly sharp, it has a soft feel that fits many portraits well. Colors are slightly warmer than my Zeiss or Sony lenses, but they are still good in my view.
