Here are 5 images taken last evening, February 6, 2014 at Trexler Nature Preserve Environmental Center, Schnecksville, PA with my tripod mounted Sony A7r and my Minolta CLE MC 40mm f2 M-Rokkor lens. Images taken in or around Magic Hour with the lens set to f8 or f11. Images taken of ice covered or partially ice covered snow and trees and processed through LR5.3.

Minomaniac -- thank you very much for the 24-70mm samples. Downloading the raws right now. You should cross post these in some of the dedicated 24-70mm threads so people don't miss this valuable post.
I'm experimenting with downsizing & output sharpening for web display. Does this look oversharpened to you?
honestly it's a bit overdone but it's better than the alternative
I succumbed to the temptation and I just got a new lens, new to me that is, and its adapter today. Of course, I had to try it out before it got dark. Both images were shot at wide open using tripod. The AF is right on and the bokeh is not too bad .
My primary body now is the M9 I acquired several weeks ago, which I am loving. But the A7 often comes along, today I went back to the truck to get it, with 300 Tamron SP BBAR attached, the lightest 300 I know.
