Maui, Redwood Forest Hike. A7R + FE 16-35 f/4. Also used the 28mm f/2 with the 16mm fisheye for a few shots out here, solid IQ if you stop it down some.
Photo taken the evening of October 26, 2015 about 2 minutes before sunset, in Magic Hour, at the top of the Trexler Nature Preserve, Schnecksville, PA. Image taken with my tripod mounted Canon new FD 500mm f4.5 L lens and my A7r, ISO 800, lens set to f11 for 1/40 second. Processed in LR6.

Whoa ... is that purple fringing, CA or what?
Oops...yea...put the wrong one on flickr. Will do it tonight. The morning sun through those tall trees created all kinds of wild colors & shadows that needed fixing.
Yesterday we were invited to dinner at an award-winning 'Art Hotel' in Shanghai. Over $100m worth of the owner's personal collection on show around the hotel with a bevy of staff to describe each item to you (and probably to act as a theft-deterrant too) !
This is one piece from the collection, supposedly the pieces in this collection (he had a few) were the inspiration behind the Navi people in Avatar.

Rene, your BW shot of the stairs on the prior page is amazing. The depth and form in that one really sing out. Unlike other shots that are of already dramatic building fascades, that one is of a rather mundane subject treat in such a way as to make it really dramatic. Wow. I liked your beachside dried plants from the page before that as well. Quite a range in two pages!
