Werner; .why are some of your pictures so light lately?
Normandy
Nice you noticed my changed processing. Tried the lighter way specially in the " Harbour " series. The gypsum company is almost white anyway and it's meant as a ironic comment to the rather heavy industrials.
Appreciate if you (everybody) gives feedback and criticism.

Looks pretty good from here. How is the balance hand-held? What is the minimum focus distance?
Sorry for the late response dale . . . Balance is very good. For this focal range the lens is light. Minimum focus distance is 8.9 ft. Not bad when shooting at 600. Still need to work with this lens on a mono/tripod to see if the keeper rate rises.
Photo taken the evening of July 23, 2015 moments before sunset near the top of the Trexler Nature Preserve, Schnecksville, PA. Image taken with my tripod mounted Canon new FD 500mm f4.5 L lens and my A7r, ISO 100, lens set to f11 for 1/400 second. Processed in LR6.
Wandering the streets of Jodhpur and saw this wonderful little guy poking his head out of a house. His grandfather thought the whole episode was a hoot

On this weeks trip I took the 7Dii and 400DOii just in case, it's what I know, but I wanted to see if the Rii was capable. It has def. light (photons and weight) advantages over the 7Dii. So far the only weakness that I can see is the frame rate...here's one, Sun had already set, ISO pushed, and pushed almost 2 stops in post-

GAS is a very serious condition . . . one that affects many of us in many ways. I can stir or be stirred . . . either way, I always NEED one more lens than I have. I suspect it's no different for you. Then again, it might be that a cure for this affliction is a dose of Otus!
