Sorry for the late response dale . . . Balance is very good. For this focal range the lens is light. Minimum focus distance is 8.9 ft. Not bad when shooting at 600. Still need to work with this lens on a mono/tripod to see if the keeper rate rises.

GAS is a very serious condition . . . one that affects many of in many ways. I can stir or be stirred . . . either way, I always NEED one more lens than I have. I suspect it\'s no different for you. Then again, it might be that a cure for this affliction is a dose of Otus!
