Few black & whites, love the latitude in the RAW files. The skies in these where blown in order to save some detail on the building on a very overcast day (London Shots)...

bingo. when you know where to look you see a slight barrel distortion and soft corners in the 2nd shot. The Noct is not really good in wall shots, but stopped down quite sharp where the curved field is (the selective focus is one of the great features of the A7/r, especially for such lenses)
Ah - mostly I was keying off of the higher contrast and/or saturation in the top one. I didn't know for sure that those were qualities of the 50AA but I gave it the benefit of the doubt, being much newer and even more expensive
Another cold waterfall pic. This time it is A7r with Leica WATE, ISO 64 for some reason, 1/3 of a second. This capture is cropped somewhat. This waterfall is called "Dry" falls as you can walk behind it and still be dry, at least in theory. When the water is up, you are still likely to get a bit moist as it is a viscerally exciting experience due to the volume of water at close proximity. In winter, they often close the path behind the fall as it is frozen and treacherous. So it was on Saturday afternoon when I visited.....
The images in this thread are awesome. I've spent much time appreciating the great talent on display here. I'm still coming to grips with my A7. One thing is for sure. It's a fun camera to use.
The colors came for a couple minutes and then disappeared behind the heavy clouds. I was able to set-up my Sony A7R and Samyang 14mm f/2.8 and capture this 2 second exposure. I was completely alone there.
By the time I try shooting with other lenses, the colors were gone.
Very little post-processing.
Thanks for viewing,
Fred

wow, unbelievable how fast this thread is moving
we have lousy weather right now so some reprocessed images from a couple of days ago;
fantastic nightime work, I also love this little lens.
here too the weather is horrible,
can you tell what kind of exposure, PP and if you used filters for these shots?
waiting for my new A7, my Rokkors Topcors CZ are excited
You guys temped me to much.. I ran out and bought a A7 (55FE still not available in Singapore).
Using it with a few Leica lenses, and I find that it makes the 50Noct soft, but the 50LUX and the 50APO seem ok on it (not perfect though). Also REALLY love using my 50MPZE again.. It's such a pleasure to use now that it's on the A7 (although I never understood why the lens was so big, the elements are TINY I x-rayed it the other day and man WTF was Zeiss doing making it so big).
Anyway thank you all for taking such great pictures and making me spend more money.
(Oddly enough my wife is really quite happy though, she thinks the A7 and 50MPZE is a breeze to use and prefers it to all my other gear).
I ordered my FE ZA lenses from Japan, and it took only 3 days for me to receive them. Both the 35 and 55 are absolutely stellar, on the same level as the best Leica M glass.
