This is Cullasaja Falls in Highlands, NC. A7r with FE 55, 1/3 sec at F 5.6 (ND and polarizer). Not sure if I like the B&W or color on this one....so here are both. Course, as I look at it, I think perhaps I need more dark tones in the B&W.....

This one is Raiinbow falls. Got there early enough in the morning (14 degrees at the start of the hike, burrr) to see rainbows. Only problem was the copious amount of spray from the falls that quickly was freezing on the front of the filter. Had to work fast! For scale, this waterfall is about 125 foot drop....

1/8 sec, F13, ND and polarizing filter, FE 35mm lens, A7r.

At the market yesterday. At the time of the 4th photo, there was a shout-off in progress between some 49ers fans and the Seahawks fans that were surrounding them.

Thanks Frank!

Both are taken with the FE 35mm f2.8.

Not strictly on-topic, but since it might be useful in situations like this one: When you see a photo embedded from flickr like cdracing's excellent shot: farm8.staticflickr.com/7458/ 12037653545_6b58a8e449_h.jpg ... you can get to the original flickr page for the photo by grabbing the photo ID and creating a URL like this: flickr.com/photo.gne?id= 12037653545 (remove the extra space the forum's highlighting adds)

Shots this afternoon at Elephant Rock at Currumbin Beach. A7r and FE 55/1.8. I really enjoying the FE 55 as a portrait lens to go You always end up meeting interesting people here. Group of surfers here were from Siberia in Russia on a short stay in Australia.

Some shots from a walk around the house.

The first two are with identical exposure and conversion (CaptureOne), just to see how much difference a lens "drawing" makes in our small web sized Images here...

(one is the Noctilux 1.0, the other the Apo 50, both @ f:5.6 1/320 sec f:5.6).

A7R, 50 mm M lens

Having fun with the new Oly 21mm/3.5 on Fotodiox adapter.

I think this is over sharpened for display here, and there is definitely seems to be some vignetting introduced by the lens and/or adapter.

bingo. when you know where to look you see a slight barrel distortion and soft corners in the 2nd shot. The Noct is not really good in wall shots, but stopped down quite sharp where the curved field is (the selective focus is one of the great features of the A7/r, especially for such lenses)

I really liked the images you posted, particularly of the church ruins and Levisham. Is the church in Levisham? We lived in England in 80s and plan to return and drive around our old haunts. Maybe we need to add that area too. Thanks for posting.

Thank you Charlie. No the church is actually Whitby Abbey. We stayed in Whitby for a few days and took the North York Moors Steam Railway from Grosmont to Pickering which passes through Levisham. Hope that clears it up a bit. Not to far, maybe 10-15miles between the two places. Whitby is well worth a visit.
