Phillip should sell/trade some of his photos for publicity purposes to Sony in return for these lenses. With the exposure Phillip already created for Sony products that's a great deal for both Sony and Phillip. I make a bit of money by writing articles about lenses and cameras for a German forum and I have been planing to launch a blog for quite some time but never actually did it.

Cool Phillip! I am also interested in the 70-400 - was just looking at it earlier today on Amazon and wondering about it on A7. Looking forward to your impressions. The lynx (or bobcat?) image is stunning.

I will do my best to get their attention so that in the future I will hopefully get early direct access to some of their stuff. But I would be surprised if they would want to buy some of my stuff.

You already have their attention, else they would not have given you the loaner lenses. Actually they hired you for free! You have, obviously unintentional, become "evangelist" and Sony get your promotionwork for just a few loaner lenses. I would not. You are a good photographer, you bring the Sony products very convincing, and Sony knows that. By the humble, as you say idealistic, position you take, you actually give Sony free publicity at the moment.
This is not to criticize you, on the contrary I appreciate your ethics, but I really believe you are too unassuming and it makes you almost naive when it's about being independent. It's you who decides about your own opinion, not Sony, no one here has doubts about that.
Phillip, these are wonderful shots. Since I got the A7r I wondered if it could handle an African safari my wife and I are planning later this year, and my idea was to use the Sony G 70-400 with the adapter as you have used.
Your images give me hope this may work well.
I'd be interested in any other comments you may have in regards to this combination.
Did you use AF? And how did the combination feel to handle; it's a lot of lens hanging off the end of a small camera!
Philip your photography is truly outstanding! Do you also have the 70-300G lens? I was hopping it would be good on the A7 seeing it is more portable than the 70-400G. Keep up the great work. Dennis

If Sony is reading this please be advised that you should pay Philip for his testing and expertise. You have the opportunity to actually have a photographer that is capable of producing images with your equipment that are exceptional and artistic. It would behoove you to pay him at the going rate for an advertising commercial photographer so that you can use some of these magnificent images in your campaigns. There are almost no camera manufacturers that have anything near Phillips beautiful photography, he truly has mastered the A7.
Phillip, I second the comments by dennishh, couldn't have said it better. Sony should support you for the testing & expertise you have exhibited with the A7. I can personally certify that they have at least one A7r purchase to attribute to your work, mine! Your work is fantastic.
…and like Lisa with the Canon $5K lens…I'd rather enjoy the the work of others who can work with equipment to show how great they are rather than how great the equipment they use to shoot with that they should be compensated for.
