Some cat bokeh tests
Batis 25mm
Loxia 50mm
Batis 85mm
In comparison older Contarex CZ lenses
Planar 50mm
Sonnar 85mm
Of course the new lenses outresolves the old ones eg Loxia 50mm causes moire on brick vs Contarex does not, but the mf is much smoother/easy with the older ones as they were CLA'd last winter and older lenses might be more optically corrected...

For Michael and others interested, these were taken in Rezzonico... a small village on the Lago di Como near the more famous and big Menaggio... in Italia, of course

Another vote for keeping the thread as it is now (both MF and AF), especially since I just bought my first AF lens. I ended up selling RX1 last week and wanted something with AF to use for family shots, maybe a bit of street etc., so I got the FE 28/2. Didn't have much time, so I just took a walk close to home to try it. (I'm sure you recognize some of the subjects...) Lots of distortion as expected, but it seems quite nice and sharp.

Helena, congratulations for your new entry... nice colors rendition. About distortion, as you know, it can be fixed by lens profile... pity in Capture One (also in the special version "C1 for Sony") lens profiles are not complete so there aren't all Sony and Sony-Zeiss lenses
Manuel
Edit: for that reason, all my pictures taken with FE 16-35mm f/4 are uncorrect...

Kind of sad to hear you are letting your RX1 go, Helena, but it seems the FE28 will serve you just as well.

Picked up a short M42 helicoid adapter (too short for regular M42 lenses), to allow infinity focus with my Leitz Focotar 40/2.8 (enlarger lens). Apart from some pretty pronounced vignetting wide open, it's a very fine piece of glass:

This feels very commercial to me. As in mass-produced prints. Excellent image.
