my humble submission for today:
A7S
Voigtlander 75mm f/1.8 Heliar
all at f/1.8
at the Tampa Bay Automobile Museum http://www.tbauto.org/
This is from my recent trip to Shenandoah NP, Virginia taken on June 9, 2015 of a radio collared Doe White Tail Deer and her recently born 4 Fawns in my campground at Big Meadows. Image cropped and taken hand held out of my van window with my Sony A7r camera and my Leica M 90mm f2.5 Summarit lens; ISO 400, lens set to f2.5 at 1/320 second. Processed in LR6.
I have thought about splitting the thread into an 'manual lenses on FE' and 'AF on FE', it would slow things down a bit and put the focus more on what this board used to be about. But personally I like to post about 4 images per post which work well together. Since I use manual and AF lenses a split would be annoying to me.
I welcome anybody's opinion on the topic.
I have changed the thread name to 'Sony FE Images Thread' if anyone thinks that's a bad idea please tell me.
Please don't split it to manual and AF threads. The main reason I like this thread is because of the many, many absolutely wonderful, spectacular images that are on it. So many in fact I find it overwhelming to comment on them all. While it's interesting and valuable to see how different lenses perform, the quality of the images keeps it from becoming just more gear talk. Also nice to be able to compare AF and MF lenses. For instance it seems ridiculous to have Loxia and Batis lenses on separate threads, or to remove the Minolta 35-70 3.5 just because it is MF.
One thing I would like to see. When we have beautiful landscapes, especially, please identify where they are. Most people do but sometimes I think, "I want to go there, where is it," or at least go there vicariously.

One think I don't like about the overally site setup is replies. I wish there was some way that a reply could follow the original comment or posting. I usually see the thread about once every 24 hours, and by then any reply is so far away it's kind of lost in the ocean of more gorgeous images. For instance there have been several replies to the question of splitting the thread, and it would be nice to have read them all at once. This is a technical thing, not something I assume Phillip could institute, and I don't know enough about how blogs like this are set up to even know if that is possible.

Another vote for keeping the thread as it is now (both MF and AF), especially since I just bought my first AF lens. I ended up selling RX1 last week and wanted something with AF to use for family shots, maybe a bit of street etc., so I got the FE 28/2. Didn't have much time, so I just took a walk close to home to try it. (I'm sure you recognize some of the subjects...) Lots of distortion as expected, but it seems quite nice and sharp.
