I took this on the way home from a place called "Kleftiko". The rock formations there are absolutely incredible and it's a wonderful place to swim with perfectly clear water and natural fresh water springs in the sea.
Our tour was supposed to last until 6PM and the crew which took us out was having such a good time (best weather in weeks) that we stayed out until nearly 9PM. I took this one on the way home and I thank my travel companion as she called my attention to the other side of the boat when she saw "Old Yeller" coming.
One think I don't like about the overally site setup is replies. I wish there was some way that a reply could follow the original comment or posting. I usually see the thread about once every 24 hours, and by then any reply is so far away it's kind of lost in the ocean of more gorgeous images. For instance there have been several replies to the question of splitting the thread, and it would be nice to have read them all at once. This is a technical thing, not something I assume Phillip could institute, and I don't know enough about how blogs like this are set up to even know if that is possible.

I agree. Not that I love FB, but it would be nice to add a comment in addition to a "like" on a photo. So much fantastic work displayed on this site and particularly in this thread that on photos that I particularly like or may have questions about, it's far too late to post a comment. Don't get me wrong... love this site, but wish there were some functionality of commenting within a particular photo set/post. One thing I do like is the international community of such talented photographers all on one forum. Too tired to speak more eloquently, but I agree with you wholeheartedly. Especially when I've been offline for a few weeks and come back to scroll through the pages, a lot of times I'd like to say something about a particularly striking image, but it's much too late.
Seems Flickr is down I can't see any pics loaded there
René, here we have a Master in Macro, as you maybe know , but I have to say you are a Master in B/W... I think your A7 sensor works very very well without colors

Nice astrophotos Ronny! I am still lacking some good shots with te A7s. Not the easiest in the Summer in Sweden when the sun almost does not set
Here is one from March in California though. The 16-35/4 is not the best lens and it wasn´t a particular good night for astro anyway. Converted to B&W with SEP2.
Pictures taken in Menaggio (Lago di Como)... this is the old part of the village where tourists don't usually go, also because is a continuous uphill made of stone stairs and look who I met: a kitten in need of affection

I wonder if a Zeiss ZM 21/2.8 or 25/2.8 would be a good choice? Do any of these two suffer from coma in the cornes when shot wide open?
Have you considered Samyang 24mm f/1.4? If you Google a bit you will find lot of astro photographer that speak very well above all for absolutely no coma also wide open... my 2 cents
Manuel
Some great images last page!
Rene and Bob...those Batis 85 shots are killin me!! Finally got a grip on my GAS, and you post images with that lens(well, actually both Batis')...
Seems my Summilux M 50 E46 pre is stuck to my A7rM recently!!

I have read the same but I add a Samyang 14/2.8 and really hated the bad construction and incorrect infinity stop. The 24mm seems to suffer from the same! Plus, it is huge which would mean I would really only use it for such purpose.
