During the time I had the RX1 on loan, I pretty much brought it wherever I brought the M9, including meet-ups with friends. The more I work with the files, the more I like the camera... especially the lens.
Though in the last shot I did notice the onion ring effect was fairly noticeable.

Ron, wonderful set of images!!! Love the variety, and PP'ing. I just get the feel, the camera is fun to use
As I use the RX1 more, I am amazed at the low light ability and quality of the sensor lens combo. A shot this evening at 25,600 ISO at f/2.0. The realms of 25,600 ISO is just unknown with the M9 or M-M

Thanks Ron, I can taste the beer... and champagne! Looks like the tiny RX1 makes a nice travel companion.
Some nice reality mnakhla.
Thanks Wayne.
Thanks Joe, nice vibrant scene, feels warm.
Thanks Charles, amazing 25.600 ISO cat (if I only wasn't allergic).
Darrell, nice peaceful shot of the boy... maybe not as enjoyable for him.
It's the 1st day of spring... so will open with a shot of what I wish it looked like outside (taken a few weeks back), and then what reality is, as it continues to snow even today (although the picture is from the weekend).

Joe, lol good idea on the last one, like the composition!
Your Daytona biker B&W shots in the Leica thread are excellent and well captured in the low light. Wondered if you shot any images that night with the RX1?
Charles, Darellc, snd Ron nice portraits!
Ron, your second shot has the Zeiss "like you are there" rendering. Very glossy PP.
Teseg, nice capture of the cold wintery conditions which look so far from spring.
Joan, like the Haleakala image, love that plsce and Maui in general. Wish I was there now!

Thanks Charles, Phil and Wayne - Yes, the camera is simply fun to use (though certain aspects can at times be frustrating). The files are really malleable, even at high ISOs, within reason. I'm very curious to see how the M240 stacks up at these settings because I've seen comments that there are still high-ISO banding problems with it... would be a shame.
Had a job last week doing head shots and was put in a relatively tiny room with a table that was fixed in place. Managed to get the radio slave to work a couple times on the RX1 out of about 20 shots. After the fact I realized I shot this at ISO 800, two stops hotter than the correct exposure for the portraits. The file held up well to pulling back and recovering the highlights:
And an available light shot with the curtains open @ f/2:

Thaks Joanlvh. Awesome Hawaii shots. I love Hawaii.
Thanks Charles and Wayne
Ron, great reflections and color.
Yesterday I had the opportunity to attend a concert by Country Music great Randy Houser, offered for free to about 10,000 truckers in Kentucky. During a ballad, a couple got up in front of me and started dancing. It was a special moment for them and touched me as well.

Just wonderful, Tom. What ISO if I may ask?
And Charles, the cat never looked better. That one is a great example of what we might call bokeh noise vignetting, lol. If you did little PP on this one, I am officially in love with this camera.

teseg, Wayne, Ron and Phil, thank you
Phil, at ISO 25,600 I had turned off the NR in the RX1 menu, and and very minimal reduction in Lr4.4. I really did not expect to have a useable shot!! Clarity does not work well at high ISO's, nor does too much NR in Lr4.4. This may be an algorithm issue. But the files are so malleable
Ron, excellent series of images! Love how the highlights can be pulled back! Favorite is the last shot
teseg, wonderful evening capture at the concert!
Joan, interesting compositions!
Darrell, nice portrait! Very nice series of images.
