Helena, yes a wonderful hike in the rainforests at Springbrook. I am still getting used to treating the RX1 seriously as a camera. It feels small, but it demands the respect of a FF when taking shots, as I still treat the RX1 as a P&S!!

Helena, nice reflection and flowers in the first set and like the low angle light bringing out the texture in the snow and the wonderful clouds. Thanks again for the link to the hood on ebay. I just got mine and need to try it out.

Hey guys, I've been admiring this thread for a while and wish there were more contributors to keep it moving along a bit faster. I have an RX1 on loan for a few days and while I've only shot fairly mundane technical things with it while comparing it against the Zeiss Biogon lenses on the M9 (review here), this image is one of the better ones I've made so far with it:
Cropped slightly and shot at f/2 with some tweaking in LR to boost the colours a bit.

Helena - Your winter landscapes are always beautiful and serene. Whenever I have availability to shoot I'm stuck with gales force winds and near white-out conditions.
In mere seconds my hands felt like they were getting frostbite when I took my gloves off to shoot... as a result, not much to look at... but I like having one of my memory modes set to Rich B&W.

Charles - a very grand vista, also have loved what you've been creating with the RX1 here.
TE - great feel to the winter scene and the second is very peaceful!
Here are a few snaps from a couple days ago as the sun was setting... just messing around with the RX1 and seeing how well I can push the files. Pretty well it seems, as they tolerated an aggressive amount of shadow recovery.
FYI, in case you're wondering, the window has a mesh screen causing the patterned rendering of the blurred background.

I was in NYC the past few days and got a some shots that I'm very happy with! Love using this camera! I added some grain to a few of the B&W shots below (not to be confused as noise OOC)

Phil, my first image of last set was using SEP2 and other two were from BW mode jpeg with contrast+2.
Still playing with various BW methods including SEP2 and Ming Thein's methods.
Tseg, very nice opposite combo of cold snowy BW and warm colorful tropic sunset!
Mnakhla, welcome and nice set from NYC. I like the train shot the best.
Ron, I prefer image threads that move slower with emphasis more on quality than quantity. I am sure as more people get this camera the thread post frequency will increase. I really enjoy all the fine images everyone has posted in this thread since December!

Wayne, excellent B&W sets, I especially like #2 on the first set. Really like the deep rich blacks on both sets. I kind of agree with others, the Sony RX1 and Zeiss combo seems to suit high contrast B&W pp.
