Is it possible to offload images from the camera without removing the card? Im worried about removing the SD card so much as this is my "everyday use" camera.
Then you need to plug/unplug the USB cable all the time and have that to worry about it
I've honestly never heard of a SD card/card slot ever wearing out, even with daily use, though.
I guess you could look into an Eye-Fi or similar wireless card though, as the camera has no native wifi. Came out just a bit before that became a nearly standard feature on newer cameras

You're probably right. I guess the pins aren't as fragile as the cf card ones. millsart wrote:

Nice works with that foggy morning light. Just gorgeous. Here's a couple--I think I'll be putting the RX1 up for sale soon, though I know I'll miss it dearly.

Finances are unique to each of us, but I think personally, the RX1 used value has fallen to where its largely worth simply keeping it because it cost nearly as much simply to replace the focal length, and even then, your not going to match the 35 Sonnar with anything on the market.
When the camera was selling used for $2300+, I got the point of selling it, as that is a lot of money your looking at, but these days, you could be looking at $1300 after fee's and such.
Again, money is a personal thing, but to me, its simply not worth selling anymore, because the unique features it has make it 'Worth' $1300+ to me.
I've bought and sold it 3 times over, even missing it when I sold my first one for $2300 or so, and just always miss it.

Thank you nehemiahphoto! Very nice photo of your dog. Looks like he/she is enjoying the snow.
millsart, yes, I came to the same conclusion (at least for now). Not only is the selling price similar to what a great 35mm lens costs, but the weight probably comes close too.

RX1 is the camera will never be sold unless I bought a RX2 ro RX MF totally overlap with it. The idea is apply to M9 as well, for the used price for such a fine image taken machine, it is not worth to sell.

You buy it new three times?
No, used, and at an increasingly larger discount over the new price each time. That is a large part of what always made it so tempting. Not only was it a great camera with an amazing lens, nice 24meg FF sensor, leaf shutter et al., that I really missed, but when I can get it for up to 50% of the new retail price its hard to pass up.
Easy to rationalize why you don't need it at $2799 all day long, but when you see it for $1400 the hand just kind of instinctively reaches for the "buy it now" button
