^^ Great framing and subjects! #1 and #2 are my favorites. ^^
The RX models seem to be special cameras. Note to self ... stay out of this thread. Too close to Christmas to be buying new gear.
Thanks, it was the first time traveling with this simplistic kit. I was worried about being limited with the 35mm fixed focal range, but it never seemed to be an issue. I love this camera!

I haven't posted, nor taken any images, for quite some time. Yesterday I visited a friend living about 10km away. While driving there I noticed these birches and I stopped the car. Sometimes 35mm isn't wide enough so I stitched and got this. Not spectacular in any way but it felt good taking some images again.

zhangyue, again colorful stuff from a place I hope I may see in real life some day. Thank you!
Too colorful? I know some think so but from time to time one of these saturated images make me happy. A question mark for the banding (whatever) in the sky but that's a minor and technical complaint.

Thanks for your comments guys I appreciate.
Zion is most colorful place I ever been. I will even enjoy just sitting there watching the light and color without taking any picture. Many times that is a better way to enjoy the place because it is also a very difficult place taking picture: usually dynamic range is huge, being in the valley, you need be really careful to avoid including sky in image during day time, but that is almost impossible if you want show the beauty of mountain and valley, and most good spots require you overnight camping or go out well before morning to get decent light. Once sky is decent enough, you almost always will get deep black somewhere in the frame. The valley is beautiful for viewing but taking good pictures to avoid perspective distortion(not always shoot from bottom up) also a challenge.
In terms of color, My opinion is depend on image content and lighting, it is never a simple saturation slide apply on the images can get what you want, and it is very subjective thing

Wow I didn't think I would get many replies so fast. I really appreciate it.
Reason I was thinking of the RX1 was because of the image quality + bokeh. I'm very impressed! I've noticed with pictures I've taken most of them, are wide. I think I'm fine from 24mm to 35mm. I just prefer wider.
I'm just very tempted by the RX1 because of the price. I thought it was a very good deal, but is that the regular price for it now in the used market?

Don't want to sound like a troll, and I love your photos Zhangyue, but isn't seaworld completely inhumane?
I totally understand. I questioned that myself during the show as well. Have to give up, there is no answer. We human did a lot more inhumane thing than this happening everywhere.
Children and family are happy, sometime, people don't think too much more than it apparently is. I don't think those animals got tortured though, trainer seems extremely loving those animal and treat them like kids. I hope I am not wrong.
The whale and dolphin also looks happy communicating with people and trainer offstage as well. Some of them were born there, and may not be able to survive wild anyway. and they enjoy showing, those are very smart creatures.
They seems like us people, work hard for food, in that sense lots of people around world are having worse life than them.
