Once again B&H has lost my recent 1k+ purchase. I know they are announcing their closings, but seriously...Wednesday to Sunday? They must be losing a lot of revenue for these closings.
Now if only ANY store in the state of missouri stocked the 135L...
b&h publish their holiday closings for the year ahead on their website - http://www.bhphotovideo.com/find/HelpCenter/HoursOfOperation.jsp so unless you just dropped a lens and need an urgent replacement, maybe you just need to plan ahead a little, or be a little more patient...
closing for that kind of holiday, for periods that long, is disrespectful of their customers who don't believe in that religion (whatever holiday we're talking about)
If you don't like the fact that the owners of BH take their religious values seriously, there are always other vendors, so what's the problem? Adorama would love to fill in....
I'm not Jewish, I not much of anything, but I respect a company that actually has values and observes them, even if they aren't my own. BH closings have been inconvenient for me over the years, and yet it is just not that big of a deal.

but it's the same every year AND they give plenty of notice. Time to get over it and plan your purchases better.
Seriously... a highly successful commercial establishment puts ethical values first and you're narked by it? Don't we need just a bit more of this these days?

?? Ever heard of Amazon?? Seriously, every year there's threads like this. Get over it.

Very well said. there are plenty of us who will still go and shop. My cousin has visited nyc 3 times and they were closed each time he visited. It was his 4th time that they were open when he came.
Adorama also follows the same religious values. Both places have their closings posted on the site as well aas notices well in advance.
Its easy for the op or anyone else to cry but if it was the other way around, they wouldn't.
Been waiting for the first post re B&H's closing. Knew there would be at least one. Happens at every Holiday closing. Get over it and go elsewhere if it's that critical. There lots of other fine retailers out there.

Announcing it in advance doesn't excuse it.
WOW! Talk about intolorence! They're just camera equipment dealers, NOT organ transplant couriers.
BTW, B&H (and Adorama) are NOT the only legitimate dealers around....Sammy's in California, Allen's in Pennsylvania, Amazon.com, (just to name a few!) are all excellent & competitive sources too!.
You know, the (national) 'Chik-fil-a' restuarant chain closes on Sundays (EVERY Sunday) for Christian values...I suppose you think that's disrespectful too? Geez!

(Thank goodness for that 'Hide Me' button!)

I kind of think it's disrespectful of customers to complain about other peoples beliefs and the answer is so simple!!! order elsewhere and Omar named off some great places

Seriously? I'm agnostic and BH earns brownie points from me for putting their beliefs ahead of dollars.
I assume you also bash the 99% of business that close down on Christmas too, right? Thought not.
Chick-Fil-A is closed on Sundays out of respect for their religion. Their not Jewish and I really dont know what faith they are nor makes any difference to me. I just respect what THEY respect and dont eat their chicken on Sundays.
It is what it is...so I just eat more beef on Sundays....
