UU date code. Great image quality on this one. Glass is in very good condition (I may see a small nick, but it takes some serious looking and I was not able to get a photo of it). It is missing the infamous red ring, it was not dropped or anything, i was just shooting and it came off in my hand . There is a little dust in the lens as to be expected with a zoom. There is a little bit of white on the zoom and focus ring (typical with these lenses but looks way worse in pics then reality). Comes with caps, sorry, no box

Is the 24-105 still available? I read the lens comes with caps but, has no box. Does it come with the hood?

It is still available. And if you pay my asking price, I will drop ship you a hood from B&H (3rd party hood, not Canon's $40 piece of plastic...).
