After a long thought, I decide to switch my wide angle lenses from this 14L II and 17-40L to 16-35L II and 24L II. So, this one is up for sale.
Sorry, no original box or any other accessories. The lens is in near mint condition, however, it is important that the lens has a minor scratch/ding on the front element as appeared in the third picture. From my experience with the lens, it does not affect performance, except it sometimes creates flare if you shoot directly into the light source. Again, it happens only sometimes. That's why I rate this lens at 8+. If without the blemish, I would have rated this lens at 9+ or even 10.
I have the lens, and it gives a unique perspective. I think we often give undue weight to minor defects on the front element. From my experience, this small defect on the front will have virtually no effect on the resulting image. Heck, I've shot with lenses that had more dirt at the time than this small mark. Now, if it were on the rear element, that would be a different matter, but that's not the case here. I appreciate the full disclosure, I wouldn't have any worries, and it's a great price. Just my $0.02.
Very nice image. I recently got the 14L II and its an amazing lens. I have used almost every lens in Canon's lineup shorter than 200mm and this is one of the best no question. Your copy looks brand new.

How about, instead of "the price of the lens plus shipping", let make it "the price of the lens plus delivery"? So, it's $1,550 plus $400 round-trip flight? And you don't need to tip.
Kidding aside, if you don't like shipping, that eliminates at least 90% of the possible transactions here.
