Leica 180 f3.4 APO Telyt-R
I must be a little crazy when I originally intended to buy a 70-200 f2.8 AF lens for my Pentax K-1 (Tamron, Sigma or even the new Pentax), however perusal of reviews on this 180 APO lens convinced me that I had to do this!

Contax 85/2.8 MMJ from Japan in excellent condition purchased for $228 + s/h. Hopefully it meets the description. Will join a growing stable of C/Y glass. Hopefully it is as good as the 100/3.5. May need to get another TechArt Pro adapter...

It's a very capable lens, I read lot's about how the sharpness would be degraded as you focus closer, IMO don't worry about it, even if it is reduced from awesome to merely just very good, it's still better than most other options.
I'm very happy with mine, and the 100/2.8 APO macro too.

Thanks very much Lightshow for adding your experience. As you comment, I have noted the reported reduction in performance at closer ranges, however I concluded as you have!

My Leica R 180mm f3.4 Apo Telyt is still quite good close up. Below is a rather heavily cropped image with my tripod mount Leica R 180mm f3.4 Apo Telyt and my A7r, ISO 200, lens set to probably f11 for 1/160 second.

Not actually my own purchase, but rather my mother's...
She knows I'm interested in old cameras and found a kit in a thrift shop, which she asked me if I was interested in. She sent me a mobile pic of an old Praktica with an unidentifiable lens attached, with an asking price of just over 20 USD.
I asked her to buy it for me, and picked it up yesterday. It turns out the people running the store had no clue what they had sold, as these three lenses apparently were included (apart from a Pentacon 135/2.8 and a 50/1.8): I'm still Jena from the (East) bloc by scepticswe, on Flickr

Just arrived yesterday is this single-element lens, but a big one. Okay, it's a Profoto flash fixture derived from an Arri Fresnel as used with continuous light on movie sets. 170mm diameter. The glass is heat-resistant and embossed "Schott", so we're talking quality stuff.
