Hi Chris,
Is that a medium format Pentax body ? Pentax didn't make a "FF" 45mm lens, although Ricoh did make a 45mm f/2.8 for Pentax-K. In decent condition, the Ricoh 45/2.8 is worth over $100 in today's market.
You can learn more about Kiron in Robert Monaghan's "Cult Classic Third Party Lenses". Unfortunately, Monaghan's Magesite is offline, but you can download this article from my site,
My bad, that lens is an Asahi Super Takumar 55m 1.8. There was a Petri body/lens next to that Pentax but I passed on it not recognizing the name (at the time). Thanks for the link, I appreciate that.

Just found a lens I have been seeking for quite some time. The Minolta MD Tele Rokkor 135/2.8 2nd Version (4/4). It isn't as if it is terribly rare (when compared to the 135/2 or 85/2), but I just always seem to just miss it. Well, I found one. Should be here next week. Can't wait to try it out.

Due to arrive tomorrow . . . Zeiss Distagon 35mm f/1.4 ZM. I'm going to use it with a Techart Pro adapter on my Sony A7r2. Can't wait to AF this combo.

After two years, my wait is over... I found a mint boxed Contax Vario-Sonnar 4.5-5.6/100-300. Comes with the Mutar II and the Metal lens hood 5. Can't believe that this day has come

Just got the Zeiss Milvus 85mm/1.4 in ZF.2 mount for my Nikon D800E and F3T. Seems very good but very heavy. It actually weighs more than the Apo Sonnar 135mm/2!

I went back to the shop where I bought the Pentax a month or so ago to see if the Petri was still there and it was. I have to say this little 55mm 1.8 might be my best 55mm. I wouldn't hesititate if you happen to stumble across one of these. Oh yeah, the aperture ring is declicked as well. I have to believe it was made like that from the factory.

Looks like a gorgeous lens, though. If it makes you feel any better, the APO-Sonnar is picking up some weight in the move to the Milvus body and it doesn't look like it's even getting a redesign.

Leica Summicron-R 50mm AND a Zeiss Planar T 50mm F/1.7 (C/Y), the SAME week! I got a good deal on the Zeiss and while it was in the mail, the Leica came up so I had to get that as well.

All the rehousings have, unfortunately. Grown a little, too. I suppose we could tell ourselves it's the weather sealing and the aperture declick mechanism but I'm afraid this swoopy new body style is just needlessly bulky.

If you know where to shop, you can still find CY zooms new-in-box...
