Nice lens Jim, I've been looking at getting one fora while now.
I've been trying to reduce my purchases but a nice CZJ 1Q 58/2 T Biotar in Exakta came up, another one I've been wanting for a long while.
Thanks, James. That Biotar looks nice, too. I'm keeping my eyes open for a Meyer Primoplan 75/1.9 V, because my 58/1.9 is a bit lonely.
I'm trying to cut back, too. So far, I'm treading water.

85/4 ZM to be used on my A7RII . . . adjusting my light-weight kit for an upcoming 3 week trip to France, Italy, Switzerland. I was impressed by the wide open sharpness and the resistance to flare and ghosting when pointed at the sun.
Had a chance to use it a bit and it's an impressive optic - wide open it's pin sharp pretty much right out to the extreme corners. At f/5.6 it's pin sharp everywhere. Contrast is great.
Now I just need to find the Zeiss lens hood and not pay a fortune for it.

Sony A7II - primarily for night shots,as it doesn't make ugly halos around light sources, but I also like it's efficacious image stabilisation, though I don't need it very often.Hope that frequent wet cleaning will not damage delicate IS system.
The classic A7 will stay with me - it is a very good, reliable camera with only a few minor flaws.
I will also keep the A7R for sheer high resolution, though it's mechanic shutter ,high likelyhood of image shake between 1/100s and 1/3s,(even on a sturdy tripod!mirror lenses are useless with it!) and huge RAW/TIFF files are sometimes driving me mad.
Two old and beloved Nexes 5N will also stay with me as teleconverters.
BTW: I also acquired Zeiss Jena Tessar 50/2.8 Zebra with a bit stiff focusing ring, but it does the job.

SMC Pentax-M 75-150/4 K.
Optically it's probably the same as Nikon Series E 75-150/3.5.A very good lens. There was a rumor that all 75-150 zooms of the time were made by Kiron.Who knows.

Got an absolutely boring pentax 150-300 f5.6 for the Z. It focuses much better than my 300mm f4, I could never calibrate the focus shift out from mine.
It's great! sharp enough in the center, though I haven't noticed fall off. Horribly convenient and the minimum focus distance allows for full face portraits.

My last lens purchase is Tamron 15-30 f2.8, i didn't use it yet although i got it around 2 months ago i think, just waiting a filter holder and one more filter then i will use it.

I've decided to give the FE 35/1.4 a try with my A7s. Got a nice deal on a like new one. I'm aware of the decentering issues, and I haven't been able to test this lens before buying it, but I'll take the chance. Having the C/Y version, sometimes I've felt it would be helpful with AF. Excited to try it out.

I just won an auction on the German evilBay for a ZE21. The winning bid was below 500€, so quite a surprise for me, especially since it is described as brand new in box.
But as there is a catch on deals like that, this one is nothing different. The bank account is abroad, the account name uses a resemblence to the name of a renowned second hand IT store from Berlin and its address - private seller account, though - but the people in the real shop told me they never sold a Zeiss lens on evilBay.
I figured all that out AFTER I transferred the money, so I am really looking forward to whether I will be rewarded with a lens or with the insight that I am stupid.
Why am I telling you this:
1. Deals too good to be true may have a catch.
2. Always do your investigations before you buy/pay.
I just got a shipping notification. A tracking number was not provided though.
Will keep you posted on whether it arrives.
