I was planning to do some tests yesterday, but the weather didn't cooperate. It's downright nasty today.
I've only been able to play with my ZF in the sunshine for the past couple of days, but it's making me smile. The corners at wider apertures aren't going to win any forum awards, but the other 90% of the image is pretty impressive.

I had to switch buyers for the Steinheil Auto-Cassarit 100mm F3.5 : Soap Bubbles ! But it's literally just arrived and is in great condition bar a little work required, cleaning the stained, but not oily blades which are working perfectly. I've a wonderful old guy who does all my cleaning and mount changes that can do this for US$15.
This lens looks 'tiny' as it sits next to it's also recently arrived more hefty brother the Nikon 105/2.5 Ai-S ! Just 213g with both caps and make that 230g with the supplied non-standard hood.

Two months ago I decide to sell most of my Fujifilm X gear and go the Sony a7r2 route. Reason the lack of Service of Fujifilm. Started with the 16-35. Recently bought the Zeiss Loxia 35 f/2 and Zeiss Batis 85mm f/1.8.
Really enjoy shooting with the Loxia. The MF works great on this lens. Using it for streets etc... The Batis rock. The looks I really like of this lens but IQ is really good.

Humming anything from "Veni creator spirytus" through "Et ab joi li er mos treus" to "Ein Heller und ein Batzen",I spent almost 3 hours in my friend's basement digging out further interesting lenses:
Leica Elmarit R,E55,35/2.8 - my first
Leica Elmar M 90/4.0-my first
Zeiss C/Y Planar 50/1.4 AE-one of many
Zeiss Tessar 45/2.8 MM (my first - I have only the AE model so far)
Zeiss G Planar 35/2.0+genuine UV,lens hood and caps in silver champagne-the second
Nikkor 135/2.8 AI-my first
Micro Nikkor-P-Auto 50/3.5-my first
Canon FD SSC 35-70/2.8-3.5-the first
Canon FD SSC 80-200/4.0-the first
Mint,boxed Konica AR 135/2.5 - another one
Nikkor 24/2.8 AI-the first
Pentax M 40-80/2.8-I hardly knew it exists
Pentax M 50/1.4-one of many
Minolta MD Rokkor-X 50/1.4 - I have many 50/1.4 Rokkors/Plain MDs,but not a single X-Rokkor released for the US market.
EBC X-Fujinon 55/1.6-probably the best standard lens for X-Fujica - I ordered an adapter but it will take at least 2 weeks before it arrives.
Nikkor 80-200/4.5 AI-the first
Canon FD 100/2.8 Chrome nose-my first,though I have a couple of regular 100/2.8 FDs
Nikkor AF-D 28-105/3.5-4.5 - would it be a good allrounder for the A7/R?
Vivitar/Kiron Macro 100/2.8 1:1
Konica Hexanon AR 50/1.4,45cm mfd,Canon nFD 24/2.8 and 50/1.4 - I am inveterate in buying numerous copies of some lenses that I like

Ordered and waiting for delivery of some nice lenses for my A7 + A7r :
Steinheil Auto-Cassarit 100mm F3.5 : Soap Bubbles !
Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 50/2.8 : More bubbles ! It's arrived and is in great condition (one of the 'more recent' versions in black, 28728, from the 1970s I guess). Bought for the 'bubbles' but is surprisingly sharp, wide open, at infinity too.
Nikon 105/2.8 Ai-S - arrived and is in lovely condition. Works much better on the Sonys than on the D800E (so much easier for these eyes to find accurate focus) !
Olympus Zuiko 200/4 : super light lens for when I'm not convinced I'll need a longer lens. Looking forward to trying this out for portraits too. ...Show more →
Here's some shots from preliminary testing of the CZJ Tessar. Weather awful during the day but evenings have been OK.
Obviously this lens was bought for it's 'soap bubbles'. Looking forward to some decent daytime weather to test it out. All shot wide open.
It also looks like a very nice and quite sharp lens.

I bought a Mamiya 645 150/2.8 A a while back, but not long after I decided I didn't have the patience for film and sold my 645 Pro, so the lens never got tried much. I kept it, though, since there's no 150mm lens in 35mm format I thought it might be interesting.
Finally got around to getting an adapter and shooting with it some on my D750 lately and I am very very impressed. Great resolution, and I think the bokeh is nicer than my 180/2 (there's a LOT of bokeh with that lens, but it has weird floaty artifacts in it and also between 2.8-5.6 it takes on a far-too-pronounced octagon shape, my only disappointment with that lens).

Thanks for giving me withdrawal symptoms, Peire.
I know someone that has a collection like that, but he won't let anyone over to see them, he just posts a list and he'll bring any that you wish to see to a neutral location.

I'm not sure what happened....I saw the glossy black, beautiful finish and now I own them.
The Nikkor-O 35/2 is a lens I shot long ago on an F2. Loved, loved that lens but alas both it and the F2 were stolen in Miami in the early 90's. Later, I revisited it when I shot the Canon 5D but the copy I had was not very good so I thought maybe the lens was just not up to it. This copy seems to be a ringer. It is sharp centrally wide open with a decent amount of field curvature that requires F8/11 for corner to corner sharpness on the Sony A7r. After shooting it, I was reminded why I once loved this lens - gorgeous, rich tonality. Of course, when the older 85/1.8 appeared, I had to have it to go with the 35.

I know it's indecent, but yestarday the postman delivered a mail with:
-Konica Hexanon AR 58/1.4,full metal (my first!)
-Late MC Rokkor 85/1.7 - my second - but it's nice to have one more just in case the first breaks
-Late MC W.Rokkor 35/2.8,55mm - (my first!),to my delight - every bit and piece as good as the MD Rokkor 35/2.8,55mm and plain Minolta MD35/2.8,49mm
- Jupiter M21200/4,m42
- Vivitar/Kiron 75-205/3.8 close focusing,M42
- Planar C/Y 50/1.4 AE - one of many, but the late AE model 67xx,with the MM mount, which is not usual
