All the Pentax K 3.5/28's I have like a thinner adapter...just an fyi if you don't find it good on the edges.

Good to know and thanks for your tests which are the reason I bought it. I just did a very brief comparison with my C/Y 2.8/28 and FE 2/28 and the Pentax is at least as good as the other two. But different field curvature makes the comparison really mind boggling.

I have multiple copies of that Pentax and the field curvature varies. Some have a flatter field, others a stronger curvature towards the camera. I'm sort of torn as to which to use given they are both useful qualities in certain situations.
Anyway, really looking forward to hearing your thoughts, especially in regards to the FE 28. It's obviously a faster lens and will be better at wider apertures. But most of my 28mm shooting is stopped down, and there is where I'd expect the Pentax to be competitive. I like its color and contrast as well as its sharpness.

If it's anything like my Olympus 100/2, you won't need to look any farther for a great fast 85-100mm lens. The sharpness, color, and bokeh are tops. I'm more impressed with it on my A7R than I was on my 5DII and SLR/c. That says something. It is a different copy though. I sold my other one then bought another because I missed it. Being an older lens, they can have issues that may affect IQ. Mine current copy is in excellent condition. I hope yours has the same IQ

Here are my two Zeiss Contax-Ns, a 24-85/3.5-4.5 and a 70-300/4-5.6. My buddy has had these for more than 10 years; I finally tried them (and his 17-35) on my Sony a7R2. The 17-35 images didn't look as sharp as those from my new Zony 16-35/4, so he'll get that one back. But these two sure did please me.
In addition to the 17-35-N mentioned above, he has the somewhat-compact 70-200/3.5-4.5 and five Contax 645 lenses and the NAM-1 adapter.

The lenses will probably arrive on Friday so it will take some more time until I can give you any impressions. But I will see what I can do over the weekend.
Going by other peoples pictures the Oly has a much more modern look. The Minolta MC 2.5/100 has great bokeh and is sharp enough but it doesn't have any bite.

Just to chime in at the 28mm and @105mm focal lengths, as a former nikon shooter. At 28mm you could try a ZF 28/2... which I own, and is really nice on A7. At 105mm I recommend the nikkor 105 2.5 Pre Ai, which can be had cheap as chips, and which also rocks on A7.

A very modest and inexpensive lens from eBay (nearly $73, including shipping, from Hunt's Photo and Video in MA) arrived in my mailbox today. I think I have a new love in the M645 55mm f/2.8 N lens. This makes #4 lens in the M645 line -- great deals and the imaging is outstanding.
First shots seem to be great from f/2.8 up to f/16 -- kind of surprised me that it could bridge the normal wide open haze and SA and the diffraction softening and reduced contrast. LR is great for dealing with the aesthetic adjustments.
This is one of the first aperture sequences, and I like what the lens did into the sun and wide open (on purpose, to check the ghosting).

thats what I would call a spending spree
My recent aquisitions:
Olympus OM 3.5/28
Pentax K 3.5/28
Porst 1.2/50
Pentax Super Takumar 1.4/50
Olympus OM 2/100
Meyer Troplan 2.8/100
C/Y 4/80-200
Two (at least) wonderful bokeh lenses there .. the Porst and the Trioplan ! I've got the Cosina 55/1.2 (absolutely one of my favourite lenses that has followed me through 3 mounts - Pentax, Nikon, Sony) so don't really need the Porst but the Meyer is too rich for me as an occasional plaything ... so I have another Soap Bubble lens on the way, the Steinheil Auto-Cassarit 100mm F3.5. Can't wait until I hear it's been shipped.

Ordered and waiting for delivery of some nice lenses for my A7 + A7r :
Steinheil Auto-Cassarit 100mm F3.5 : Soap Bubbles !
Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 50/2.8 : More bubbles ! It's arrived and is in great condition (one of the 'more recent' versions in black, 28728, from the 1970s I guess). Bought for the 'bubbles' but is surprisingly sharp, wide open, at infinity too.
Nikon 105/2.8 Ai-S - arrived and is in lovely condition. Works much better on the Sonys than on the D800E (so much easier for these eyes to find accurate focus) !
Olympus Zuiko 200/4 : super light lens for when I'm not convinced I'll need a longer lens. Looking forward to trying this out for portraits too.

Carl Zeiss Jena Biotar 2/58, probably made in the 1950 years in the GDR ("East Germany"). It came as a gift ("Here is a Pentax for you, a neighbor found it on his attic"), mounted on a Contax D.
The camera was in a really ugly shape.
All images of a test-roll came out clearly back-focused - I can only assume that the camera was dropped earlier in it's long life and it's interior is out of whack.
Found an old cheap M42-Nikon-adapter (the glassless variant without infinity-focus) and will give it a try in the coming days.
