My latest is a Contax C/Y T* 85mm f1.4 for use on an A7 II, but just prior to that I purchased a 45mm f2 Contax G and despite the less-than-ideal focussing system on the cheap adapter, I love it. Very sharp, great rendering. When I have something worth sharing I'll do so - up to now it has been family shots (which I don't share).

Minolta MD 100-500 f8, from a dood in a gas station parking lot via craigslist. Getting it professionally cleaned ($70) cost more than the lens. (came with a free fully functional Minolta X300 which is a surprisingly nice little SLR)
Worst case scenario, I have something to take with me to the batting cages...

New Helios 40-2 in Nikon mount. I was hummming and hawwing over the Petzal, then saw this and much preferred the results with it. Nikon mount means I can use it on my Nikons (!) as well as my Leica M with my Fotodiox Pro adapter. That adapter is surprisingly nice. Rock solid on the camera, really nicely feel/fit/finish.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on the two or see any comparison shots. I just switched to the New FD 35mm f/2 from the FD 35mm f/2 SSC, and I've long been interested in the VM 35/1.4 and 40/1.4.

I have a Minolta MD 135mm f2.8, 35-70mm f3.5 and ROKKOR-QF 200mm f/3.5 inbound. I wanted just the zoom to test out on the A7 but looks like I'll be testing them all

Been playing with Magic Lantern RAW video on my ol' 5DMkII.
Just received delivery of:
I got two Kowa 2X anamorphic for Bell & Howell lenses,
they are each screwed into a Bell & Howell 2inch f/1.6 16mm lens.
Also two Sankor Anamorphic 16F lenses,
these are each screwed into a Bell & Howell 16mm Projection 64mm(2.5in.) f/1.5 lens.
All 4, or rather, 8 lenses come apart easily from each other, no problems.
Both Kowas, and both Sankors focusing helicoil action feel smooth, no problems.
I think I got a good deal!
Now the expensive adapter to use them...

A dainty Zenit Helios 85mm 1.5 in Nikon F mount to be used on my Nikons as well as my M.

I was thinking about getting a Petzval, but much prefer the results that I have seen from this Zenit lens.

I'm always on the lookout for a bargain at the local thrift shop. This summer I've found a Schneider Krezenach Companon 135/5.6 enlarging lens, Minolta Rokkor 55/1.7, both very nice and dirt cheap.
I usually pass on a buch of stuff that looks like junk, but this little Sigma 28-80/3.5-4.5 looked kind of interesting and it was a Canon FD mount which I have an adapter for to fit on the Sony A7. It didn't have a price on it and I thought, well if it's less than $5 it might be worth trying out. it rang up for $3 so it was a no-brainier.
Looks to be reasonably sharp wide open and the bokeh is kind of nice too.

looking forward to some reviews and results! I've thought about getting anamorphic lenses but they just look so unwieldy to use for street and portrait.

Wow, that looks massive on the M. Curious to see your results with it. Also wondering where you bought it?

Regarding the 40/1.4: on the Sony a7 system, it's surprisingly decent. It's not going to be a super sharp lens wide open due to a fair amount of spherical aberration, but it's respectable when stopped down. There's also focus shift, but of course, if focused at the shooting aperture, won't be a problem on an EVF system. I like the drawing of the lens, which can be described as painterly. It's not super smooth and bokeh wide open can/will be nervous/busy with quite hard edged OOF specular point light source.

On Leica digital M it exhibits massive field curvature. The other big challenge is focus shift. It's a lens I would use for its character in non-technical applications. I would not recommend it for situations where you expect great across-frame sharpness.

I haven't tried the Voigtlander 35/1.4, but understand it's a very close twin of the 40/1.4.

As for recent acquisitions...

Voigtlander 15/4.5 III
Olympus 80/4 1:1 macro bellows lens. I'm pairing it with a Nikon PB-4 bellows to photograph my archive of mostly B&W negatives from 2001 and earlier. Early results look promising and should be comparable to a higher end flatbed scanner, but with a much smaller footprint. I'm hoping it will also be faster per image and that dust won't be too much of a hassle. Given current high MP sensors, it should be pretty much at the point where it's extracting about all the 'real' info from the film.
Leica 180/3.4 APO-Telyt. Was always curious about this lens. It's relatively compact, but not actually much different in size or weight from my Canon 70-200/4L IS. But it does beat the Canon in respect to sharpness across the frame, though lack of IS is a really noticeable problem when trying to focus it at 10x magnification in live view. And I need to keep the shutter speed pretty high for consistent results. Might be a good lens to use on an IBIS body like the a7II or a7RII.
Awaiting delivery of the new Voigtlander 35/1.7 in M mount. Lens is in transit and should arrive tomorrow. While I'd really like a ZM35/1.4 for its amazing sharpness. And may still get one for those applications that demand high technical performance. I'm hoping the 35/1.7 will exhibit a bit more character suitable for people photos, rather than the ZM's blazing sharpness.

That's fantastic. I'm always amazed with how quickly the little parts and pieces I order from China ship as well. Even going standard post, they usually average five to six days.

DHL was in no hurry to let my Schneider 38XL leave Germany. Shipped on the 11th of last month and just now made it to my state. I'm really hoping it'll get delivered tomorrow, but my guess is it'll be Tuesday.

For run and gun type work, you'd need one of the expensive single focus units.
I want the Rectilux 33F-W.
Currently, I found a macro extention ring that closely matches the rear of the
Sankor 16F and my Helios 50/f2 44-7M.
For quick play, I have it pipe taped, and duct taped together. *8^)
It is swirly with the Helios, and vignettes quite a bit, also difficult to focus.
Suppossedly, 80mm is the focal length for the taking lens using a FF sensor,
I'm using my good ol' 5DMkII with Magic Lantern.
I'm awaiting a couple of adapter clamps for a more permanent connection solution,
then I can try one of the 80/85mm lenses I have.

I just received a like-new Zeiss CY Sonnar 135/2.8 with the orginal leather pouch. The serial number begins with 843xxx so it should be one of the last copies. It feels very solid. There is a CY-Sony E helicoid adapter on the way too. I hope it covers full-frame.

Not very exotic or retro but I just bought a Fuji mount Samyang 8mm fish eye II. The lens is small but heavier and more solid than I thought it would be. The focusing ring is also pretty stiff which is probably a good thing for a manual focus fish where you don't want to be accidentally knocking the focus off.

Spotted a lens that I've wanted for a while now at a local shop. Emptied the cupboard of a bunch of stuff that I wasn't using as a partial trade, and now I have a near mint copy of the Olympus OM Zuiko 90/2 Macro

Recent purchase: used Tokina 16-28/2.8 for Nikon.

Very sharp, but AF not working, only MF for now. Maybe a trip to the repair facility is in the future. Love it's color and "presence".

Hand held, PP in LR6CC.
