looks like i'll stick with cropping for now. i shoot with A7 and sony doesn't do 2.4:1 aspect ratio, makes it difficult to envision the end result

For run and gun type work, you'd need one of the expensive single focus units.
I want the Rectilux 33F-W.
Currently, I found a macro extention ring that closely matches the rear of the
Sankor 16F and my Helios 50/f2 44-7M.
For quick play, I have it pipe taped, and duct taped together. *8^)
It is swirly with the Helios, and vignettes quite a bit, also difficult to focus.
Suppossedly, 80mm is the focal length for the taking lens using a FF sensor,
I'm using my good ol' 5DMkII with Magic Lantern.
I'm awaiting a couple of adapter clamps for a more permanent connection solution,
then I can try one of the 80/85mm lenses I have.

Just ordered an Olympus 50mm f/2 macro. Will post a comparison between it and my Canon 55mm f/1.2 FL - which is an absolute gem. Also ordered an adapter for a Pentax 135mm f/2.8.
I traded this sweet suit for the Pentax, I'm not sure who won that trade:

Nothing too special for me but recently added a zf.2 35/2 for $400 mint! Been waiting for a good deal on this lens since I mounted it first when I had my d90. And for whatever reason put off getting more z glass for years. Looking to add more z glass even CZ. Love it!

My recent Alt additions include the Zeiss ZF.2 35mm f/2 lens, Tokina 16-28/2.8, Nikon 105/2.5 AIS, and a repurchase of a copy of the EF 17-35/2.8L -- only Alt in the sense of being out of production and ancient, like the Nikon above.

i rebought my least favorite zeiss that i've owned – the contax g 35/2 planar. hopefully i'll like it better on FF than i did on aps-c.
unfortunately, the optical block has a slightly larger diameter than my g28 so i'll need to design new rings in order to rehouse it in a manual focus helicoid: http://c1.staticflickr.com/1/694/21482058369_9f3604259e_b.jpg
landscape performance is surprisingly good with very good corners at f/8 and only the extreme corners suffering at large aperture. it appears to actually be better for landscape than the c/y 35/1.4.

It's an interesting lens for sure on digital. On my a7r I see extreme field curvature, the middle focuses farther out than the centers so bokeh is never very high, performs more like an f4ish lens in terms of DoF. The curvature goes down as you stop down, but at infinity there's still the mid zone dip even at f16. Extreme corners are smeared too. Overall though contrast is high even wide open and the centers are insanely good, much better than the Canon FD 35mm f2 concave I had at the same time. It makes a good lowlight lens because of the deep DoF, great for deep interiors as well.
I don't use it a ton on the a7r, as the 45mm has less issues on the sensor. On film though, the 35mm is exceptional and doesn't have any of the issues I have with it on digital, it is an exceptional lens that gives up very little to the 45mm.

interesting, on the a7 i only see fairly mild field curvature (especially compared to the g28 ) and less of a midzone dip than the c/y 35/1.4. the extreme corners look good at f/8 and smaller unless they are in the very close forground. i've just shot across the street though so i'll have to experiment more.
i've never really cared for the g45 for anything other than landscape, the g35 seems to have more pleasant bokeh to me (stopped down that is). they both seem to have more dof than my other lenses of similar focal length and speed.

This is a very good and fairly compact telephoto with only 1,5 mfd.I'm just getting my second copy of the 200/4.0 in mint condition. For 35 Euro, but unboxed.Nevertheless it is an excellent lens that you'll enjoy. In simple words - 215$ is a tiny amount of money that will buy you a lot of pleasure.

After playing a while with the Canon AE-1 that my father gave me some years ago, the film bug bit my wallet...and now I have a Nikon FM3A and a Leitaxed (F-mount) 35mm Elmarit-R on route.

Just purchased a Tokina 17mm f3.5 AT-X for my Sony a850. Wanted a small wide to compliment my 24-70 when 24mm just wasn't wide enough. I have an FD 20mm that I love on my a7r, might end up with one or the other I'm not sure if I should keep both
