The skies were not super great for astrophotography, alot of moisture due to humidity, which greatly diminishes clarity, but it was so nice just to get out and see and capture Jupiter again!!!!!! A6000 with my Celestron c5 scope 1250mm f/10 (Fabulous scope for birding too by the way!!!) The lower black dot is the shadow of one of Jupiter's moons. Io, crossing the planet
I went out to shoot some butterflies (Monarch and Black Swallowtail) at the Urquhart Butterfly Garden in Dundas, ON. Here are a couple of images all shot with the Sony A6600 + FE 70-300
Our moon looks grey and white to us, but in fact there are colours to be seen, which depend on the mineral content of the areas. I was waiting for a nice full moon to bring out the colours present there.
