Very nice Erik. Did you use flash on this? If so which one? Bought the accessory Sony HVLS 20 for mine yesterday but haven't played with it much. Thinking of getting the 58 to use off camera for portraits when I get into it in the future. Love the mood on this pic.

Hi Jason, thanks for the comments. I have a couple flashes that I used with the Canon 5DMKII. A Canon Ex, a Metz and a Nissin that I use mainly off camera with Phottix wireless trigger. You do need to get an adapter for the stupid Sony proprietary hotshot, though... This is the kind of crap that gives Sony all that hating. My old man used to say that an industry standard is such a good thing that everybody wants to have itīs own...

Sony in fact used the industry standard shoe until it inherited the iISO shoe from Minolta which it has maintained for compatibility reasons (and the fact it's a superior design, the classic flash shoe is lousy but popular, having originally been designed to hold optical viewfinders).

Thanks for the interesting facts. I ignored that. Good to know. I guess we should all hate Minolta then...

Thanks.

My very first quick test with the new SE 21 f3.4
It might be the best wide angle lens ever. All wide open.
I can only imagine what this lens can create on an M camera...

Funny, at least from these samples, the rendering reminds me a lot of the images I've seen from the Contax G21. How are the corners of the Leica on the NEX-5N?
