I've been looking for a C/Y Distangon 21mm for a while, but the ones I've seen so far have been way too expensive.
Wfrank was selling his excellent condition 21mm f2.8 MC W.Rokkor-NL, so I bought it to use until I win the lottery, and can afford the Distagon.
Took it for a spin, but I'm not sure about the results. Please tell me what you think. I haven't shot much WA before, so I don't know exactly what to expect. I had the Contax G 21 for a while, but only took a few shots with it. I can definitely say the G21 was sharper, and I don't remember it having as much distortion. The G21 is of course much more expensive, so it's expected to perform better.
Here's a couple more from the NEX-7 with the 50/1.8 OSS. Shot at ISO 3200, and pushed about a stop in processing. Wouldn't want to print this on a billboard, but it looks pretty amazing to me.
I combined 3 images from a 600mm FD lens while the crescent moon was setting on 4-22.
I bought the Ed Mitka adapter that lets me use my 5D with the 600mm FD lens but for some reason I prefer the 5N with that lens.
Combined a ZM25 shot of the moon and Venus while the sun was setting today with a 600mmFD with 2x teleconverter image of crescent Venus (taken about 30 minutes before the 25mm image). There's a bit of chromatic aberration with the inset image. Venus is the tiny dot next to the upper left corner of the inserted image.
I got rid of my ZA24 so I can't compare it with the ZM25. I didn't like the ZA24 manual focus (which isn't truly manual).
