Thanks Charlie. It's in San Francisco along the Embarcadero.

Great photos on this page!! Nice seeing everyone's work.

A few of mine from a little road trip to Hovenweep (Anasazi ruins area). A couple of observations. 1. The spare battery I had stored in my bag for a couple of weeks had gone flat. Has anyone else had this problem? 2. For road trips, I will def. pack along the 5D2 next time with the 70-200 mounted for shooting from the car. I cannot MF well enough for action shot opportunities and focus peaking doesn't cut it for moving objects (IMO of course!). 3. I absolutely needed the EVF for the conditions. Couldn't see a thing on the rear screen for most of the shots.

All images 5N.

1. CY 28/2.8 - alley painting and stool in Mancos, CO.

2. CZJ135/3.5 - churro ram running herd on his ewes. Churros can have 4 horns rather than just 2, they are so cool. Wish I'd had 5D2 for this, it's not quite tack sharp and I doubt I'll ever have this image in my viewfinder again!

http://www.redwrench.com/2012/hweep/20120128-_DSC1234-Edit.jpg

3. CZJ135/3.5 - Navajo pony walking back to the herd from watering. Again, wish I'd had 5D2 for this, he didn't pause long enough to use MFA and it was a lovely but fleeting desert scene.

4. At this point in the trip, I realized my spare battery was at only 8% so I used the kit 18-55 lens to take a few quick shots at Hovenweep. It performed well. This is from a little Gorillapod using a remote. Perfect setup for that location.

I have more, but will try not to be a space hog. It was a pleasure to hike along the trail with the 5N dangling at my fingertips.

Sebboh - when you stitch a matrix in PS, do you stitch rows first, then combine the rows? Or do you just dump all the images into PS at once?

Wow sebboh. That woodhill is soon to be famous in alt-photography sub cultures.

it's pretty awesome. any morning there is sun you can guarantee photographable light rays and the tourists don't usually show up till the afternoon.

i just throw them into photoshop these days. if PS had trouble i used to do rows first, but now i send it hugin and assign points manually if necessary.

Snowboarder - nice truck. What lens carries those nice colors (guess the landscape contributed too though).

meh, at websize they're all pretty much the same resolution. it's more about what kind of lenses you can use on these tiny cameras. also the difference in resolution between the NEX-3/5 and NEX-C3/5N is pretty much negligible.

anyway here's two shots from my morning constitutional. both with the NEX-3 and my contax g 45/2 at f/5.6 or f/8 (i forget).

the first is a single shot so 14mp:
http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7168/6773652089_8834ee4672_o.jpg
the second is a ~20 shot stitch going for a medium format kinda look, so 67mp:

also that last one i went kinda crazy trying to recover the shadows. i think maybe i overdid
...Show more

I'd leave it as it is...Looks great!

Plotr and Charlie,

Funky bokeh and I mean that in the most positive way.

Plotr, I love those colors.

I think Derek (Sebboh) also uses a Jupiter with great results.

yeah, i have the j-3. i was just thinking i need to shoot more with it again. i tend to either carry it or the g 45 as my small 50ish and have been on a contax kick lately.

here's another smaller stitch (~6 shots) from the g 45 at f/4:
http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7003/6772255347_b9ea3a3aaf_b.jpg
and a 6 shot stitch from the rokkor 24/2.8 at f/8 or f/11:
