Great photos on this page!! Nice seeing everyone\'s work.
A few of mine from a little road trip to Hovenweep (Anasazi ruins area). A couple of observations. 1. The spare battery I had stored in my bag for a couple of weeks had gone flat. Has anyone else had this problem? 2. For road trips, I will def. pack along the 5D2 next time with the 70-200 mounted for shooting from the car. I cannot MF well enough for action shot opportunities and focus peaking doesn\'t cut it for moving objects (IMO of course!).
All images 5N.
1. CY 28/2.8 - alley painting and stool in Mancos, CO.
2. CZJ135/3.5 - churro ram running herd on his ewes. Churros can have 4 horns rather than just 2, they are so cool. Wish I\'d had 5D2 for this, it\'s not quite tack sharp and I doubt I\'ll ever have this image in my viewfinder again!
3. CZJ135/3.5 - Navajo pony walking back to the herd from watering. Again, wish I\'d had 5D2 for this, he didn\'t pause long enough to use MFA and it was a lovely but fleeting desert scene.
4. At this point in the trip, I realized my spare battery was at only 8% so I used the kit 18-55 lens to take a few quick shots at Hovenweep. It performed well. This is from a little Gorillapod using a remote. Perfect setup for that location.
I have more, but will try not to be a space hog. It was a pleasure to hike along the trail with the 5N dangling at my fingertips.
