who was who suggested this lens was wasted on the nex?
It is constantly dropping my jaw at f/2. No other piece of glass I own is in this league--the ZM 18 is great but very slow. The 28 just gets the goods, wherever you are
Love the duck! Again, this page has so many great photos!
Tribute to the OM50 macro (on NEX 5n). Teeny flowers from my greenhouse plant, IR filter in LR3. A tiny screw fell out of the lens while I was inspecting it, so back to KEH it goes.

Thanks for the info. The 38/1.8 seems to be among the most readily available of the Pen F lenses. Does the 38 or 40 exhibit much CA when wide open (assuming shooting RAW or JPG without correction turned on)?
the 38mm doesn't have any noticeable CA even in really high contrast areas. Even if overexposing to try to cause sensor bloom, i still didn't get anything worth mentioning. The 40 might have a little but again not noticeable unless really pixel peeping, from what i remember.

Has anybody used the Tokina 11-16 on their NEX? For the cost/trouble/sacrifices to use the CV 12, it seems like the 11-16 could be a nice substitute for tripod shooting, provided it doesn't rip the mount off the camera.
What do you mean cost/trouble/sacrifices? I got one brand new CV12 (L39) for 350€ off ebay, it produces nice enough images and I haven't seen any smear or colouring on the edges. I'm actually happier with it than with the CV 15 (ok, it's a little slower, but to me it looks like the images don't have as much vigneting as the CV15, which in my view has far too much (correctable, but still).

Wfrank: Karl Johan is indeed down there it is a pushed 1600 shot with no noise reduction and quite a lot of sharpening. Guess I should get some noise removal software

That's interesting. Most reports that I've seen show the 15 having more vignetting/color shift, but better resolution at the edges than the 12.

Douglas, that's the way I felt about them, but I bailed from the 12mm pretty fast and never put them head to head. I like the 15 a lot (color shift aside).

Working on being able to nail focus w/ focus peaking. And collecting eggs for breakfast. 5N + OM 50 1.2 at either f/2 or f/1.2 w/ a Marumi ND. I bumped up the contrast & clarity. Too much??
