The harbour and bay is not too different, just a little more built up .... 50 years later
The Fort out on the point is still there.
And they added a classy hotel a few years back, but it went into liquidation and since has become derelict being used for graffiti these days, as all fixtures and fittings have been robbed out. Maybe one day they will knock it down, because it is an eye-sore
The old house that my wife lived in is still there, but they seem to have mucked up the numbering .....
The Villa next door, like the hotel seems to be owned by Lord of the Rings fans - Saraman

Can't decide what number to give the old house .....
Samy gave me the idea of digging up few from my last visit to San Francisco which was October 2018. Unfortunately, did not have much time to run around and have fun the camera.
Still alive, hope you are all well, excess work and recent heat kept me indoors. This is the next to last Cruising Grand this year, next week it is the Dragsters.
Using my worst 55mm 1.2, really just a little dusty.
Serge, San Francisco is a place where one really wants to spend some luxurious time with a camera. Too bad you didn't have enough time. At least you got to Fisherman's wharf, I didn't even make it there.
Back to Malta for a few more ..... hope you're not bored already !!
Moving on from Marsa Skala to the fishing port/harbour of Marsaxlokk (pronounced Marsa sholck)
This is where you find pictures of traditional Maltese fishing boats, but it seems that all the really colourful ones you used to get on postcards etc are not there now .....
Anyway, here is what here is .... blue and brown boats, same shape, just not as colourful
In amongst the boats moored was this little rowing boat names Joan of Arc (the N is the wrong way round - copyright maybe ) I thought that perhaps if she had rowed all the way from Malta to Reims in France, is it any wonder she lost her fight .... she would have been really worn out by then ......
The coloured doors looked great so I just had to shoot them.
As for advertising your fresh fish .... what better way than a chalk written A board, and The Catch of the Husband
btw Lampuki is a local Mediterranean fish and delicious it is too ....

Pick a door ..... any door ..... specially for Leighton
Nice work with the S2, and perfect subject for it! I really like that vintage 5cm 1.4 SC lens, on the Z6 it seems to do better than the 5cm f2 H, which showed up a lot of flare.
