Back to Malta for a few more ..... hope you're not bored already !!
Moving on from Marsa Skala to the fishing port/harbour of Marsaxlokk (pronounced Marsa sholck)
This is where you find pictures of traditional Maltese fishing boats, but it seems that all the really colourful ones you used to get on postcards etc are not there now .....
Anyway, here is what here is .... blue and brown boats, same shape, just not ass colourful
In amongst the boats moored was this little rowing boat names Joan of Arc (the N is the wrong way round - copyright maybe ) I thought that perhaps if she had rowed all the way from Malta to Reims in France, is it any wonder she lost her fight .... she would have been really worn out by then ......
The coloured doors looked great so I just had to shoot them.
As for advertising your fresh fish .... what better way than a chalk written A board, and The Catch of the Husband
btw Lampuki is a local Mediterranean fish and delicious it is too ....
