Colin, that is a breathtaking back yard you have. Would no mind hanging my hat there for a long spell.
Curtis, beautiful flowers and stunning colors.
A few more from beautiful Amsterdam, the Anne Frank Huis.

The view across the canal. Could have used a wider lens but it would had been AF.
A tad closer:
Had to be patient taking photos as the building is a very popular visitor spot . I came back for a second visit to take this one as it was just too crowded the first time.
The canal facing the building and tourist boats arriving. It is a very active and colorful place.
Thanks all for the likes and comments.

Serge
Thanks Curtis. And no, the clear liquid diet only lasted a day. Yesterday I had turkey, potatoes and carrots for lunch, salmon, rice, and broccoli for dinner. Breakfast this morning was a cheese and mushroom omelet, english muffins, and a cup of coffee with cream (FINALLY!)

Thanks for giving us a report Laura. I have to defer to those among us who've had the experience of a liquid diet since the only liquid diet I've ever been on had a fair amount of single malt Scotch whisky in it...
I expect with this kind of surgery, even when you're home with won't be to pot roast. You'll likely be on a bland diet for awhile. But home cooking is always better than hospital food. Rest well.
This was my childhood home. Unfortunately I don't live there anymore. The vista you see was part of my playground as a kid.
My father and sister still live in the village (Comrie) so I visit regularly. My next trip is in early June for 10 days or so.
I now live near London - a place I know you have visited before - so if you ever make it there again drop me a message and perhaps we could meet up. I am always open to meet the people who contribute to this friendly corner of cyberspace.

Colin, the many pictures you've shown from your hometown area makes it seem like good light / atmospherics happen there pretty often (for photography anyway). Great job capturing it.
