Steve I pressed the like on your photo's but not for the building. I agree the interior of that building leaves a lot to the imagination. Did they run out of money?
Samy, George I am saying "No" to LTM lenses Z6 or no Z6!!!
Leighton she is the "Mona Lisa" of riveters. Nice capture!
Well here are four motors from the Car show. The Pagoni with a Mercedes AMG motor, a Buick Grand Sport, Pontiac GTO and the best for last a 1966 Corvair "pancake" six cylinder.
All shot with the 35-70.
Gear heads only beyond this point!
FYI.....the old Buick’s are Grand Sports, the 80s era Buick’s with turbos are Grand Nationals.
Three from Point Lobos. It was the first visit to the area and the pristine natural beauty is amazing. All were taken with the Fuji X-E1 and Nikkor 105/2.5 AIs which was used far more on the trip than anticipated.
My much better half pointing to a rather large gathering of seals enjoying the surf and weather on the distant rocks.
This is as close I could get to the seal gathering without taking a swim. Water is cold but it sure looked inviting, beautiful colors. At this resolution, the seals are difficult to see but there are quite a few.
The cliffs are home to several birds species but needed something a heck of a lot longer than 105mm to capture details. The "Hulk" 300/2.8 ED would have been put to some good use.
A few have mentioned that fall colours are wanting at the moment.
I can say the same. Here in the south of the UK I have been less than impressed by nature's show.
The striking acers and tulip trees are all but over. Beech and birch are just starting to turn and the oaks appear to be even further behind. Strong winds have not helped the cause either.
This arched window was the best I could come up with after taking a woodland walk yesterday.
Law means hill or more likely grave mound as there were burials found up there from as early as 3500 years ago and was the site of Pictish settlement during the Iron Age. The hill itself is actually the volcanic plug of an extinct volcano, the surround land having eroded away.
I've visited Dundee lots of times as my dad's side of the family are from there. Interestingly, I've never been up to the Law though, possibly because we mainly used to visit at Hogmanay so it was always bloody freezing

Love it Colin. Living in the Tropics means unfortunately we only have 2 seasons, wet, and dry ! (despite the locals talking about Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter) so no autumnal colours which is a shame as it was my favourite season in the UK.

Freezing? Perhaps. Staggering uphill is much more difficult...

What was this building ?
This the summer house of a Tudor Mansion called 'The Vyne'. The National Trust oversee the upkeep of the property and estate. We are NT members.
Apparently the summer house was used for banquets, which in those days meant after dinner drinks and games in the two story summer house overlooking the gardens. Look how green those oaks in the background are.
Whilst going through some of the pix from my road trip, I got to wondering if our member for Comrie had ever played in the big garden at the East end of the village ??

I haven't used any manual focus lenses in a while, so that's all I took with me when I took my grandson to a fall festival on Saturday. As it turned out, I only used one lens the entire time - the Micro-Nikkor 55mm f/3.5.

Steve, you did give Comrie a thorough inspection. Yes, I did play in that garden and the river adjoining. As a child the whole village and surrounding area was my playground. The house was up for sale recently and see it is an Airbnb property now.
Leighton, I recognized the Rosie the Riveter costume immediately. Great shot, and she show some resemblance to the original poster.
Scott, for not having used MF in awhiule your shots look sharp! Nice, be that kid is a fun handful!
Serge, I was at Point Lobos back in July. Just a beautiful park, but I only had m43 with me, and it was more about the experience with family then photography. Good memories, thanks for sharing.
Samy, sports with film? Wow, that was one area I never got into because of the cost of processing/prints. If it was not for digital capture I think my total sports capture in my lifetime would number under 200 shots.
Scott, a buddy and I were supposed to head east into NY (Finger Lakes region) back in early October for a fall color trip, but based on web reports changed plans and headed to the Upper Peninsula. Sorry to hear that color is not cooperating this year. I thought about contacting you, but in hindsight glad I did not. We changed plans 48 hours before we left for the trip and headed north instead. That's a nice perspective on Taughannock Falls (I like shooting waterfalls from slightly higher than the lip), one that I had seen online somewhere (may have been one of your shots here) and was trying to figure out how to get there.
