I know the lists of compatibility, but am looking more for what TC (TC14B, TC14EII, TC301) gives better IQ with 300/4.5 ED- AI, 400/5.6 ED-AI, 600/5.6 ED-IF AIS, 800/5.6 ED-IF AIS, etc.

Nikki never seems to disappoint... excellent set of images Leighton. I'm glad you've found a few Nikkors that play nicely with your X-T2.
Thanks Curtis. You're right, it's an excellent lens. It handles well on the Fuji.
Here's my market shot with Nikki's sister after she arrived at my door last summer... one of the vendors noticed me focusing between a cluster of shoppers.
I can't remember, did you go with the 720nm or 850nm conversion filter? The IR shots look great.
We are getting a break from the summertime humidity and haze and will soon have the clear skies for nice and dark IR shots. I need to get going on deciding what I want to do.
I almost sent my X-T2 off for full spectrum conversion this week. I looked at the lenses I would be using with the X-T2 and could get by with 2 filter sizes and a step down ring for the lens filters for IR, UV, etc. Full spectrum would open up some great astrophotography options too.

Great shots shared as always, it's so great to log on and scroll.
I must confess. I have sinned. I bought an AFS, the 50/1.8G. There is a small street festival tomorrow and I've been asked to shoot 2 different DJ sets with many artists joining in. It's going on from 12-23 so I need to be quick and move between those different scenes. I'll bring a small arsenal of MF's as well, so hopefully I can post some here as well.
Hope all of you over in the US and everyone else affected by the hurricanes in the south and wildfires in the north are ok. It's not often we have those bad weather conditions here. We had a bad one 10 years ago or so, it took down lots of forest in south Sweden and made lifes of many very difficult. It seems as Reagan gonna stay safe though . Feels good to know.
Kristina also owns that lens. Excellent choice. Ieven though it looks and renders very modern, perfectly sharp and nearly without flaws, I still feel this lens has some character that can be put to good use. I sinned and used Kristinas lens more often then she has done so herself.
At the moment, I travel with a 2 lens kit. The 35mm f2 Nikkor-O and the 300mm f2,8 Ai-S. Small, convenient, nearly fits in a pocket

George,
I decided on the 720nm.
I didn't want to give up a couple of stops going with the 850nm.
A little bit of PP is required to bring out the contrast but I have a good feel for it now and have a couple of LR presets to get me 90% of the way.

For those who get to see hurricane Irma closer then they might want to, stay safe. It's past midnight here, so I'm off to bed, but one of th elast topics Kristina and I talked about was who of you guys live in Florida, and how you deal with such events. We are not praying people, but our thoughts are with you Reagan, Ken, Curtis (you're not in Florida, but involved as you are worried about Sue), Sue and Rafael (as well as your brother, but I must have missed his name)
I hope that tomorrow does not bring any unexpected surprises. I'm watching a live stream of the CNN news to stay up to date. Kristina found the link to that. To be honest, even though I was in a few storms and the one or other hurricane, I have not personally encountered such a big storm. Stay safe is all I can really say.
Colin - I, for one, am nowhere near saturation. I'm loving all the London pics. Keep 'em coming, please. Now, if you've got any of Manchester, Manchester my love, then I would be beside myself.
I just went to Sam's Club and saw this gun case for $70. I picked it up for my lenses. I think it's not too bad for the money. It's not made in USA though.

Rafael - I like all the images but cannot believe that you see a Corsair as being prettier than a Spitfire which is surely the most elegant of all war planes
Just have a thing about folding wings in Navy blue Peter.

Neither is the gear inside it so I think you're ok.
