Today we explored a forest area new to us, Jericho Town Forest in Weston, MA. A few pics from today.

I started with the 300mm x 1.4 on the camera. The trees were so tall that anything interesting was up too high to find, and the FL was way too long for most things on the ground. So I ended up switching to the 55mm.

Thinking of adding a reflector on the tree that is over the bird bath. They jump into it to preen, because they get too wet to fly. It makes the bath almost always in shadow - except late evening.

Nice set, the 28mm f2.8 AIS is one of my favorite lenses. So versatil with the ability to focus so closely.
